The Renowned Philly-based Cheesesteak Joint will be Located in a Redesigned & Updated Food Court at Mohegan Sun Pocono
WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 12, 2019) – Mohegan Sun Pocono (MSP) is excited
to announce a new and tasty addition to its dining offerings when Tony Luke’s opens this December. Known for its incredible Philly Cheesesteaks, Tony Luke’s also features specialties like the Roast Pork Italian, seasoned French Fries and a vegetarian option, “The Uncle Mike.”

Established in South Philly and what now has more than a dozen locations in the Philadelphia area, Tony Luke’s added their own twist on the cheesesteak in 1992 and it has been one of the best in Philly ever since. Tony Luke’s works directly with cattle farms in the Midwest which supplies locations with top quality Rib Eye steak. Vegetables used in toppings are grown in South Jersey as well and all sandwiches are served on fresh baked bread, baked with Tony’s secret recipe.
The addition of this well-known brand brings the total of dining options at Mohegan Sun Pocono to more than twelve, rounding out a list that includes the Rustic Kitchen Bistro & Bar, Pearl Sushi Bar, Molly O’Sheas Pub & Eatery, Bar Louie® and many more. Tony Luke’s will be a popular stop in a refreshed Food Court as a new Philly and NYC look and feel is being planned to this area of Mohegan Sun Pocono. Renovations begin mid-November and completion of the significant design upgrade will coincide with a Tony Luke’s opening by late December.
Just opened in early October as well was Unibet Sportsbook at Mohegan Sun Pocono, where all major sports can be wagered on in a brand-new betting lounge, featuring a 28-foot wide HD video screen, and six easy-to-use betting terminals.

Time marches forward, but Mohegan Sun Pocono is dancing back to the 70s, 80s and 90s for New Year’s Eve. At the Ultimate Retro Dance Party, guests can boogie on over to the dance floor at the Keystone Grand Ballroom until the clock strikes midnight, while enjoying drink specials, live entertainment and some nostalgic music videos. Plus, snap a picture of Prince or grab a selfie with Cher, Elton John or Freddie Mercury as a star-studded list of impersonators perform throughout the night.
The cover charge for this event is $10.00 and may be paid in advance at the Mohegan Sun Pocono Box Office located at Player’s Club or via ticketmaster.com starting Friday, November 8th. Cover can also be paid at the door the night of the event. All guests must be 21+ to attend, valid photo identification is required for entry.
Prior to the New Year’s Eve festivities, guests can enjoy a decadent dish experience at Timbers Buffet for $49.99, featuring a special New Year’s Eve celebration menu that includes NY strip steaks, veal Oscar and a fresh seafood station with jumbo shrimp, oysters and crab claws. First place in each category takes home $500 cash, second place receives $250 and third place receives $150. Best overall costume wins $1,000! Plus, guests should be sure to dance by the DJ booth, as DJae Mêlée will pick his favorite costume of the night and the winner receives $500! All winners will be announced at 11:00pm.
Guests must be 21 or older with valid ID to attend this event. Masks and full face paint are only allowed in the event space.

Coming off the heels of its successful Sportsbook launch in New Jersey in September, UNIBET takes on its second U.S. market in Pennsylvania; UNIBET will continue to invest in growing its U.S. operations where market conditions support a sustainable business model
WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 27, 2019) – Unibet, one of the largest online casino and sports gambling brands in the world, today announced the opening of its retail Sportsbook in partnership with Mohegan Sun Pocono marking the company’s official launch into Pennsylvania, its second U.S. market entry in just one month. Mohegan Sun Pocono’s full destination offering, combined with Unibet’s unbeatable, digital customer experience and data analysis capacity, will create a unique and strong offering in sports betting in the state. Earlier this month, Unibet celebrated the launch of its New Jersey Sportsbook and multi-year partnership with the New Jersey Devils.
The new 1,130-square-foot Unibet Sportsbook at Mohegan Sun Pocono will be open daily from 11 a.m. to Midnight, allowing fans to place their bets on their favorite teams and sporting events. The Unibet Sportsbook – located across from Molly O’Shea’s Irish Pub & Eatery (which will serve food in the lounge) and near the main entrance at Mohegan Sun Pocono – features a 28 foot-wide, high-definition video wall with three additional displays near the sportsbook tables for additional viewing, which is fully customizable allowing it to be transformed into two giant television screens or modified to accommodate up to 16 sporting events at once. The betting lounge also has six, state-of-the-art betting terminals; two teller booths; comfortable seating for up to 40 guests; and a full service bar. The new Unibet Sportsbook is creating 12-14 new jobs at Mohegan Sun Pocono, including tellers, food and beverage servers and floor supervisors.

The Food Truck Festival will also offer a variety of activities, including axe throwing with Axecessive Force, Tarot Card readings by Tarot for Living and walk-up tournaments with NEPA Cornhole throughout the afternoon. Guests can stick around for some live harness racing action starting at 7:00pm.
