Mohegan Pennsylvania’s Hot Summer Fun Kick-Off marks the start of the season with an epic beach ball drop and electrifying performance by Almost Queen: A Tribute to Queen and on Friday, June 28th. Starting at 6:00pm, guests are invited to sit back and relax at the Outdoor Concert Venue while enjoying refreshing beverages like the brand-new Party on the Patio Lager with Lime, a special collaboration with Runaway Train Brewery. Delicious bites will be provided by local lobster food truck Wicked Pissah, and Burger Bus will also serve up delectable hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches and seasoned Patio Fries. Forever Young Mondays provide food & beverage specials for guests 55 years of age or older. These guests can enjoy half off select entrées at The Hive Taphouse from Noon-5:00pm. Additionally, guests 55 years of age or older who earn one Status Point will receive $10 in food credit.
The first 500 Momentum members to earn one Status Point on T-Shirt Tuesdays will receive a commemorative Hot Summer Fun 2024 t-shirt. A new design is featured every week – guests can visit each week to collect all nine! Momentum members can begin earning at 6:00am and print their voucher at any Promotional Kiosk beginning at 1:00pm. On Wheel Money Wednesdays, one Momentum member who is actively playing a slot machine or table game between 3:00pm – 8:00pm will be randomly selected every 20 minutes to spin the Prize Wheel for a chance to win Free Slot Play or cash prizes. WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 23, 2024) – This year marks the 15th anniversary of Northeast Pennsylvania’s iconic outdoor concert series, Party on the Patio and to mark the occasion, Mohegan Pennsylvania and Runaway Train Brewery have collaborated on the special Party On The Patio Lager with Lime’ craft beer. The ultra refreshing, super drinkable malt beverage was brewed by Northeast Pennsylvania’s very own, Runaway Train Brewery, based in Honesdale.
“This craft beer was the result of hours of collaboration, planning and taste testing” said Vince Benedetto, a Managing Partner of Runaway Train. “Our Brew Master, Charles Mills, took great care to create a delicious beverage that would pair perfectly with the Party On The Patio experience. Everything, from the locally sourced premium ingredients to the can artwork, are designed to capture the incredible vibe and energy of the Mohegan Pennsylvania outdoor concert environment.”
Mohegan Pennsylvania and Runaway Train Brewery will debut the Party On The Patio Lager with Lime at a special launch party on Saturday, April 27th, from 2:00pm – 4:30pm at Embers Terrace. The event is for ages 21+ and is open to the public. Thereafter, the Party On The Patio Lager with Lime beer will be available in cans and on draft at all Party On The Patio events this spring and summer, and on tap throughout Mohegan Pennsylvania.
The Party On The Patio Lager with Lime is an American lager style at 4.8% ABV with a hint of lime. The beer is brewed with a base malt only purchased from Pennsylvania farmers. Small portions of specialty malts are added to lighten the body and create a wonderfully smooth drinking experience. After fermentation, a touch of lime is added while in the conditioning tanks to make a delightfully refreshing and satisfying brew.
The 15th year of Party On The Patio will be its biggest to date. The legendary outdoor concert series will kick off on Thursday evening, May 2nd and continue over twenty-two weeks with twenty-three bands performing Featured acts for this year’s lineup include Stayin’ Alive, A Tribute to The Bee Gees, on May 2nd; KISS Army on May 9th; Best of the Eagles on May 23rd; Nightrain – A Tribute to Guns N’ Roses on May 30th and plenty more! WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 2, 2024) – With the 150th Kentucky Derby taking place on Saturday, May 4th, Mohegan Pennsylvania is set to host a Kentucky Derby Party like never before! Beginning at 2:00pm, this annual event will provide guests with an opportunity to indulge in delicious bites, try various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, participate in a Hat Revue for a chance to win up to a $500 Mohegan Pennsylvania gift card and join in on a promotion where guests can win up to $1,000 in free wagers. Additionally, a special edition of Party on the Patio will take place after the race! There is no cover for the Kentucky Derby Party and Party on the Patio.
The Kentucky Derby Party will feature Coors Light, Blue Moon, a variety of seltzers, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests can also enjoy the official cocktail of the Kentucky Derby, the Mint Julep, with an opportunity to upgrade to a specialty 150th Anniversary Kentucky Derby glass while supplies last. Those looking to grab a quick bite can head over to the Burger Bus and Eat Up Now food trucks where a variety of mouthwatering options will be available. Guests can stop by the Best Cigar Pub booth where a live cigar roller will be in action and a selection of cigars will be available for purchase. The Hat Revue is back, and guests have an opportunity to compete for lucrative prizes! Registration for the Hat Revue will be from 4:00pm – 6:00pm in the racing lobby. Top prizes include a $500 Mohegan Pennsylvania gift card that will be awarded to the “Best Couple” or “Group Themed Hats”. Winners of the “Most Classic Derby Hat” and “Most Creative Hat” categories will each receive a $250 Mohegan Pennsylvania gift card. Beginning at 10:00am on Friday, May 3rd, Mohegan Pennsylvania will accept advanced Kentucky Derby wagers in Simulcast and tellers will be available to assist. Beginning at 10:00am on Saturday, May 4th, Simulcast will be self-service but guests can place wagers with tellers at the upper-level Pacer’s Clubhouse betting windows. No live harness racing meets are scheduled for May 4th but Simulcast wagering will be available for all tracks with live meets including Churchill Downs throughout the day. All guests must be 18 years or older to place wagers at the indoor Simulcast location.
Mohegan Pennsylvania is holding a promotion where guests who wager $100 or more with a teller on any race will receive one entry for every $100 wagered. Guests must place these entries into one of the 20 boxes located in the racing lobby based on who they think will win the Kentucky Derby. At approximately 6:57pm, the Kentucky Derby will begin, televised on the outdoor jumbo screen and indoor racing TVs. At the conclusion of the race, four winners will be selected out of the corresponding boxes of the official top four finishers. The selected first-place box winner will receive $1,000 in free wagers valid for Preakness Stakes on Saturday, May 18th. Second – fourth place winners will receive $500, $250 and $100 in free wagers, respectively.
Immediately following the end of the Kentucky Derby broadcast, The River 105 and 103.5’s DJ Tommy will take the stage to emcee Party on the Patio.
