Launched this past summer as part of a major property upgrade, The Hive Taphouse at Mohegan Pennsylvania boasts a great lineup of local music as the winter months approach. New seasonal beers are also on tap, as is every big football game, every week. Dueling Pianos featuring Doug Delescavage and Jennifer Hunter | Saturday, December 31st
Talented musicians with battle it out during a New Year’s Eve celebration not to be missed at The Hive Taphouse. Doug Delescavage is a Berklee College of Music alum, a vocal instructor, piano instructor and the front-man for Philadelphia Freedom – a Tribute to Elton John. Doug will face-off with another incredible piano talent in Jennifer Hunter, who graduated from West Chester University and now teaches music, in addition to serving as an acclaimed music director and keyboardist for over thirty musicals in NEPA!

CC Music features musicians Chris Iorio, Cierra Cellerari, Michael Iorio and Zach Jones from the Northeastern Pennsylvania area. Their wide range of musical tastes allows for them to produce a sound and show suitable for audiences of all ages and musical interests. With nearly 20 years of experience between them, they offer a professional and polished sound every time they take the stage.
The Beer
As the name suggests, the Hive Taphouse offers a serious range of beers on tap, including regional favorites like Broken Heels IPA by New Trail Brewing; Antler Brown Ale by Barley Creek Brewing and 570 – American Amber Lager by Benny Brewing. Current seasonal selections include draft beer from Pennsylvania brewers such as Wyndridge Cider; Tröegs Independent Brewing; Evil Genius Beer Company; Susquehanna Brewing and Wallenpaupak Brewing. And for current seasonal bottled options, guests can enjoy Sam Adams, Nimble Hill Brewing and UFO Brewery. Unique options like the Salt and Sea (Strawberry Lime) by Flying Fish Brewing out of New Jersey and the Mango Cart by Gold Road Brewing out of California, are also available. The Hive Taphouse offers energizing beer flights, including “The Fruit Flight,” which includes four fruity beers, “The NEPA Flight,” which includes beers brewed within 60 miles of Mohegan Pennsylvania, “The Seasonal Flight,” which combines the best beers of the season, “The Keystone Flight,” which includes some of the best beers brewed in Pennsylvania, and a “Build Your Own” option which lets you create your own flight. Half-off Tacos and Burgers
Every Tuesday inside The Hive Taphouse, a menu of delicious tacos are offered at half price all-day! Favorites include Cajun Shrimp Tacos, BBQ Pulled Pork Tacos, Smoked Chicken Tacos and more. The Hive Taphouse also features “Burger Wednesdays” where options like the mouthwatering Lone Star (pulled pork, pepper jack cheese, smoke BBQ sauce and marinated banana peppers served on an 8oz beef patty and brioche bun) are also half-price all-day every Wednesday.
The Games
Pro-football fans can head into The Hive Taphouse to catch all the remaining action, including what should be an incredible post-season. Every game is available by way of 12 high-def flat screens that fill-up Mohegan PA’s latest and greatest venue. Big upcoming Pro football games include Buffalo @ Cincinnati on Monday, January 2nd (8:30pm). The first round of the playoffs also arrives on Saturday, January 14th! TopGolf Swing Suites
The Hive Taphouse also features its very own TopGolf Swing Suites located near the main bar. TopGolf Swing Suites is open for all ages, allowing for playful competition across various simulated sports, including golf experiences at virtual versions of Pebble Beach, Bethpage Black or 80 other famous courses. If guests aren’t up for golf, they can take a stab at the Quarterback Challenge, Hockey, Zombie Dodgeball, Soccer and more. Friday, December 30th
Endless Midnight begins Friday, December 30th, at Rustic Kitchen with two live cooking segments at 5:00pm and 7:30pm. Enjoy an all-inclusive feast of delicious Peppercorn Crusted Filet Mignon, and a juicy Butter Poached Lobster Tail. The night will begin with Jumbo Lump Crab Stuffed Shrimp with Lemon Beurre Blanc. A sweet Strawberry Champagne Cake will be served for dessert. The Chef will also select a Red Wine Pairing as well as a Champagne Toast!
Live entertainment kicks off inside Breakers as The Fuchery hits the stage at 8:30pm for a live performance. The group of musicians keeps the energy alive with no script, ripping songs the crowd enjoys by requests. Additionally, the new hot-spot at Mohegan PA, the Hive Taphouse will play host to the Hoopla Band Lite as they take the stage for a 9:30pm performance. Party goers can also sip on their favorite seasonal beers and cocktails while this energetic nine-piece party band from NEPA rocks the stage with hits from the past and present. Celebrate the main event, Saturday, December 31st, at one of the seven Mohegan Pennsylvania venues participating in Endless Midnight! Dine inside the studio at Rustic Kitchen during the two mouthwatering cooking segments at 5:00pm and 7:30pm! Enjoy a feast paired with a chef’s choice Red Wine and a Champagne Toast. End the year with extreme temperatures and excitement during When Fire Meets Ice at Embers Terrace! This one-night-only pop-up experience pairs fire and ice for a unique and unforgettable New Year’s Eve. At 6:00pm, sip your favorite drinks from the custom ice bar, get a photo in the royal ice throne, and watch incredible ice sculptures be created before your eyes. Meet the ice with warm fire pits, hot specialty cocktails and live entertainment by the JOB Trio. The Hive Taphouse will be hosting Dueling Pianos featuring Doug Delescavage and Jennifer Hunter at 9:00pm. For the best party and dance music the 80’s has to offer visit Breakers to see Until Sunrise. The high energy party band gets things started at 8:00pm and will deliver all the flare and glamour from the 80’s. Local favorite Ken Norton will perform at Molly O’Sheas at 8:30pm. The front man of local bands, Grace’s Downfall and The Fuchery, also has an amazing acoustic set! Magic Man DJ Tommy will keep the energy going at the Sunburst Bar. The DJ known for his magic and balloon art skills, will be playing all your favorites throughout the night. Enjoy top-notch standup comedy at WiseCrackers Comedy Club. These exciting new offerings are a part of collective enhancements planned for MSP, billed as Project Starlight. A $10 million hotel renovation is also underway
WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 6, 2022) – Mohegan Sun Pocono (MSP) guests are in for a treat as 2022 heats up. Three exciting new venues will officially debut, starting in late April with the all-new outdoor terrace bar, Embers Terrace. This new offering will be home to Adirondack style seating, fire pits, live weekend entertainment, dining options, an outstanding drink menu and more. Set to launch this summer in the old Bar Louie space will also be The Hive Taphouse, equipped with a full dining menu, 20 beers on tap, a live music stage and its very own Topgolf Swing Suites, equipped with Full Swing Simulators that in addition to virtual golf courses and Topgolf games, will also be home to energetic games like Zombie Dodgeball, the Quarterback Challenge, Baseball Pitching, Hockey games and more.
“These capital improvements as part of Project Starlight represent some of the most thrilling enhancements that we have ever announced at MSP.” -said Anthony Carlucci, President & General Manager of Mohegan Sun Pocono. “These offerings will not only bolster our live entertainment, but they also bring a relaxing and fun-filled outdoor experience as well as an amazing Topgolf Swing Suite venue. All 238 of our hotel rooms will have a whole new look and feel by the end of the year as well!”
Located near Rustic Kitchen Bistro & Bar, Embers Terrace will be the first new amenity to open. Featuring a 25-person bar, a partially covered dining area with a late fare menu launching in June, hand-built fire pits, acoustic entertainment and a lawn area where various activities will take place, this new outdoor terrace bar andterrace will serve as a hot spot for all types of outings during the warmer seasons. The weekends are set to feature acoustic duos and with that, VIP booking opportunities will be possible. The drink menu will also offer some of the best wine in the region, as well as a range of mixed drinks and local, domestic and imported beers.
Slated to launch in early summer, The Hive Taphouse will have 20 beers on tap, the most at MSP, serving the likes of IPAs, Porter, Stouts, Cider, Ale, Lager, Pilsner, Witbier, Hefeweizen, and rotating seasonal offerings. Home to a live music stage, this new venue will roll out a can’t-miss entertainment calendar featuring some of the top musical acts across the region. More than 12 high-definition TV screens will also fill up The Hive Taphouse, playing all the major sporting events. A full dining menu will feature a wide variety of dishes like Appetizers, Flatbreads, Salads, Wings, Burgers, Sandwiches, Tacos and Mac N Cheese. Located near the main bar inside The Hive Taphouse will be the Topgolf Swing Suites with two Full Swing simulators, where people of all ages and skill levels can come together for playful competition. This simulated golfing experience features a massive screen with a variety of multi-sport games, as well as HDTVs, comfortable lounge seating and food and beverage offerings. Guests can play either 9 or 18 holes across more than 80 famous courses, including Pebble Beach and Bethpage Black. Not to be outdone, this new venue will also allow guests to try other exhilarating simulated games like Baseball Pitching, The Quarterback Challenge, Hockey, Zombie Dodgeball, Soccer and much more.
The Mohegan Sun Pocono Hotel, opened in 2014, will also undergo a major revamp. By the end of 2022, all 238 guest rooms will be completely renovated with new, fresher contemporary designs, new bathrooms and upgraded amenities throughout. “We’ve already modelled a couple of rooms so far and the difference is remarkable.
