Iconic Rock legends, The Doobie Brothers, are “Takin’ it to the Streets” with a stop on their nationwide tour at Mohegan Sun Pocono
’s Keystone Grand Ballroom on Saturday, August 1, 2015. This can’t-miss show will include classic songs and new recordings and is sure to be an unforgettable performance for fans of all ages.

The Doobie Brothers’ numerous Top 10 hits span more than four decades and include “Black Water,” “What a Fool Believes” and “Rockin’ Down the Highway.” Throughout their career, the legendary rockers have sold over 40 million multi-platinum, platinum and gold albums, been recipients of four Grammy Awards and continue to write and record new material and tour the world. In 2014, some of Country music’s biggest stars joined them in new recordings of the band’s classic hits for their album Southbound, released by Arista Nashville. Memorial Day weekend is almost here and it’s a great time to enjoy Mohegan Sun Pocono. Join Mohegan Sun Pocono from Thursday, May 21st through Monday, May 25th for a weekend full of entertainment including live music, exciting horse racing and the opening of the spectacular outdoor Terrace.
The fun begins on Thursday, May 21st at 8:00pm at Breakers where four lucky finalists will compete in the grand finale of the Battle of the Bands and the winner of this year’s competition will be chosen. Since March 12th, 32 bands have competed in this, the 5th year of the event, and it’s finally down to the final four—Nowhere Slow, Coast 2 Coast, Stealing Neil and Facing the Giants. Come on out to see the action and cheer for your favorite band to win the grand prize of $10,000!
On Friday, May 22nd, unwind and have a drink at the Terrace before you begin your weekend. Located just off the hotel lobby, the Terrace is a relaxing outdoor venue with cozy seating surrounding an open fire, with live entertainment from Mike Dougherty on Friday, May 22nd and Music for Models on Saturday, May 23rd. On Saturday, May 23rd at 8:00pm, Blues Traveler brings their high energy performance and top hits like “Hook,” “Run-Around

Since their Top 10 success of Four over twenty years ago, these Rock icons have released numerous albums, including their 12th and most recent, Blow up the Moon, on April 7th. From the development of Jersey Boys through their historic run on the Broadway stage, The Midtown Men, comprised of Tony Award-winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony Award-nominee J. Robert Spencer, are together again, delighting audiences with their electrifying choreography, incredible vocal performances and legendary showmanship. Their first radio single, “All Alone on Christmas,” was produced by Steven Van Zandt and included members of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band; The Men were honored to perform it at the White House for the National Tree Lighting Ceremony in December 2012.

Country superstar and Sugarland founder to perform inside the Keystone Grand Ballroom on April 19th

Kristian Bush, one half of platinum-selling Country duo Sugarland, has been leaving his mark on music for more than two decades. He is currently on the road with his 2014 Put Your Soul In It Tour, backed by a five-piece band including Rebecca and Megan Lovell of acclaimed roots duo Larkin Poe. A prolific songwriter, Bush is in the process of narrowing down the 300+ songs in his catalog for his debut solo album, due later this year.
To date, Bush has won six BMI Awards for his songwriting abilities, and in 2011 founded the music publishing company and songwriting collective Songs of the Architect. Recent producing/songwriting collaborations include Mike Elizondo, Rita Wilson, Dia Frampton, Ellis Paul, Laura Bell Bundy, Matt Nathanson, the dB’s, Martin Johnson of Boys Like Girls, Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale, and up-and-comers including Kristina Train, Larkin Poe, Natalie Stovall, Canaan Smith, Jaida Dreyer, Alana Springsteen and The Voice contestant Savannah Berry.
Bush made his solo debut in March 2013 at the inaugural C2C: Country to Country Festival, held at the O2 Arena in London. His first release as a solo act, “Love or Money,” debuted in the UK and Europe the following week, and in October of 2013, he stood by his promise to release “Love or Money” at home in the U.S. as well – the song is now available worldwide via iTunes and anywhere digital music is sold.
He is a frequent panelist and speaker at events for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, and regularly appears as part of the CMA Songwriters Series in cities across the U.S. and Europe. Bush is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, where he still resides.

The Gin Blossoms have undoubtedly left their mark on the Rock music map. The Grammy nominated band’s fusion of Melodic Rock, Folk and Country elements has paved the way for the modern Rock of today.
