The band behind Eddie and the Cruisers live on February 21st
Rock and Roll legends John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band, regarded as one of the best live acts on the East Coast, will bring their chart-topping hits to the Keystone Grand Ballroom in the Convention Center at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs for a live concert event on Friday, February 21st at 8:00pm.
Tickets for John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band are $20.00 each and go on sale Tuesday, January 7th at 10:00am. John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band are best known as the band behind Eddie and the Cruisers, the fictional Rock group from the 1983 hit film of the same name. As an award-winning songwriter and recording artist with multi-platinum albums to his name, Cafferty brings a passion and excitement to his music that has transcended over three decades of East Coast Rock dominance. In concert, John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band deliver Billboard rock-chart toppers including “Tough All Over,” the Eddie and the Cruisers track “On The Dark Side” and more.
Cafferty was inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame in 2012 and was among the first bands inducted into the Wolf Den Hall of Fame at Mohegan Sun’s flagship location in Connecticut in 2011.

The former SNL cast-member brings the laughs Saturday, February 8th
Darrell Hammond, the comedian, actor and author, best known for his work on Saturday Night Live is bringing his lively brand of stand-up comedy and impressions to the Keystone Grand Ballroom in the Convention Center at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs for a night of laughs Saturday, February 8th at 8:00pm.
The February 8th show was originally announced in October during Hammond’s appearance at a press conference announcing Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs’ new partnership with Wise Crackers Comedy Club.

Hammond is best known for bringing to life his famous impressions of Bill Clinton and Sean Connery as well as scores of other politicians, actors, media personalities and newsmakers during his time on SNL. With his historic run as a Saturday Night Live regular from1995 through 2009, Hammond earned the distinction of holding the longest consecutive tenure of any cast-member in the shows 38 year history. In 2011, he released his critically acclaimed memoir; God If You’re Not Up There, I’m F***ed: Misadventures with Fake Noses, Funny Accents, Addiction and Saturday Night Live.
As a stand-up comic, Hammond appeared in his own televised special, Comedy Central Presents: Darrell Hammond. He has also appeared multiple times on CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman and NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. He has also been a frequent guest on The Howard Stern Show.
Hammond has also had numerous television and motion picture roles. His credits include guest roles in the FX drama Damages, Scary Movie 3 & 6 and Law & Order: SVU. Hammond also appeared with Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, and Donald Trump in an Oreo commercial during which he performs his famous impression of Trump.

The first event to be held inside the new Keystone Grand Ballroom in the Convention Center at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs
WHAT: The finest names in craft brewing will be on-hand alongside local breweries to present more than fifty varieties of beers at Electric City Craft Brew Fest. The event is sponsored by Times-Shamrock Communications and will be the first event to take place in the new Keystone Ballroom in the Convention Center at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

IN DETAIL: Craft beer fans will have a lot to celebrate as Electric City Brew Fest takes over Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs for a day of sampling and fun on Saturday, November 16th. Electric City Brew Fest will be the first event hosted in the brand new Keystone Ballroom in the Convention Center at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. Two separate tasting sessions will each feature more than 50 varieties of craft brews. Samples will be available for all guests during each tasting session along with entertainment, craft brew info sessions and home-brewing discussions.
Some of the beers to be served at Electric City Brew Fest include selections from Brooklyn Brewery, Flying Fish, Founders Brewing Co., Goose Island, Long Trail, Magic Hat, Sam Adams, Shock Top, Smuttynose Brewing Co., Southern Tier, Susquehanna Brewing Co. and more.
Electric City Brew Fest kicks off with a special VIP Session from noon to 1:00pm. This VIP ticketed pre-event will feature an exclusive intro to the brewers, special ’limited release’ brew samples, free hors d’oeuvres and a special gift along with the sampling session of more than 50 craft beers. Tickets are $40.00 for each session and $50.00 for the VIP Session and can be purchased at ecbrewfest.com or from Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs’ Box Office.
