Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist to perform on August 22nd and 23rd
WILKES-BARRE, PA (June 8, 2015) – The Elvis Tribute Artist Spectacular featuring Shawn Klush and The Sweet Inspirations is back by popular demand, bringing their electrifying magic to Mohegan Sun Pocono’s Keystone Grand Ballroom on August 22nd and 23rd.
Klush, a native of Pittston, Pennsylvania and known as the “World’s Greatest Elvis,” will be backed by Elvis’s own backup singers, The Sweet Inspirations. Klush has been recognized worldwide for his renowned Elvis impersonation, including his sultry looks, energetic vocal style and swaying hips, and has long performed alongside Elvis’s closest friends, musicians and singers.
Tickets for the Saturday, August 22nd dinner show at 8:00pm are $175.00 and $125.00 (minimum purchase of two tickets required) and include a three-course gourmet meal inspired by the King himself (details at mohegansunpocono.com). Tickets for the Sunday, August 23rd concert at 8:00pm are $60.00, $30.00 and $20.00. All tickets will go on sale on Friday, June 12th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Klush has received numerous awards and accolades for his performances including being named champion of the World Elvis Tribute Artist competition, “Best Concert Elvis” by Gibson Guitar Company, “World’s Greatest Elvis” by BBC1 Television in the United Kingdom, and the “Worldwide Ambassador of Elvis” award and “Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist” by Elvis Presley Enterprises. Klush was a featured performer on The Late Show with David Letterman, starred as Elvis in the Legends in Concert shows in Las Vegas and Atlantic City and is a well-known, recurring performer at official Elvis festivals worldwide, including in Memphis, Tennessee, known as the home of Elvis.

Grammy Award winners to perform on August 1st
Iconic Rock legends, The Doobie Brothers, are “Takin’ it to the Streets” with a stop on their nationwide tour at Mohegan Sun Pocono

Known as one of the best hockey teams of all time, the Philadelphia Flyers of the early 1970s were well-renowned for their aggressive defensive tactics and great skill, which helped them to win two consecutive Stanley Cup titles in 1974 and 1975.
Bernie Parent was the All-Star goalie that led the team to the two consecutive Stanley Cup titles, and was selected Most Valuable Player of both series. Parent was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1984.
Dave “The Hammer” Schultz, a rugged winger, was known as the enforcer of the team. In the 1973-74 season, Schultz accumulated 348 penalty minutes and in the 1974-75 season he accrued an astounding 472 penalty minutes, which today remains the NHL record for a single season. Schultz had amazing scoring abilities, scoring twenty goals during the 1973-74 season.
Bob Kelly was the aggressive left-winger and scored the game-winning goal to secure the Flyers’ second Stanley Cup championship in 1975. Along with Schultz, Kelly was one of the team’s top defensive enforcers.

Memorial Day weekend is almost here and it’s a great time to enjoy Mohegan Sun Pocono. Join Mohegan Sun Pocono from Thursday, May 21st through Monday, May 25th for a weekend full of entertainment including live music, exciting horse racing and the opening of the spectacular outdoor Terrace.
The fun begins on Thursday, May 21st at 8:00pm at Breakers where four lucky finalists will compete in the grand finale of the Battle of the Bands and the winner of this year’s competition will be chosen. Since March 12th, 32 bands have competed in this, the 5th year of the event, and it’s finally down to the final four—Nowhere Slow, Coast 2 Coast, Stealing Neil and Facing the Giants. Come on out to see the action and cheer for your favorite band to win the grand prize of $10,000!
On Friday, May 22nd, unwind and have a drink at the Terrace before you begin your weekend. Located just off the hotel lobby, the Terrace is a relaxing outdoor venue with cozy seating surrounding an open fire, with live entertainment from Mike Dougherty on Friday, May 22nd and Music for Models on Saturday, May 23rd. Also on Friday and Saturday nights, dance to live entertainment at Bar Louie, Breakers and Ruth’s Chris Steak House, or enjoy a fun night of laughs with Kevin Downey Jr., Marc Yaffee and Scott Bruce at Wise Crackers Comedy club.
On Saturday, May 23rd at 8:00pm, Blues Traveler brings their high energy performance and top hits like “Hook,” “Run-Around
” and “But Anyway” to the stage in the Keystone Grand Ballroom.
