WILKES-BARRE, PA (February 26, 2025) – Mohegan Pennsylvania is proud to host the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic as they present Simply the Best: A Tribute to Tina Turner on Saturday, June 7th. Under the baton of Maestra Mélisse Brunet and Scott Coulter’s Spot On Entertainment, this iconic performance honoring one of music’s most legendary superstars starts at 7:30pm in the Keystone Grand Ballroom.
“We’re delighted to welcome NEPA Philharmonic back to Mohegan Pennsylvania for the first time since 2016,” said Tony Carlucci, President & General Manager at Mohegan Pennsylvania. “This partnership is a great match. Their mission statement for this concert season references building bridges, which we can relate to because we’re also dedicated to building bridges with our local community. Our guests are in for a treat as this trio of incredible talent will perform some of the greatest hits in music history.”
Tickets to Simply the Best: A Tribute to Tina Turner are on sale now via the NEPA Philharmonic website or the Philharmonic Ticket Hotline at 570.270.4444. Will Call, located at the entrance of the Convention Center, opens at 6:00pm and the pre-function space (including a cash bar) opens at 6:30pm. Doors to the Keystone Grand Ballroom open at 7:00pm.
Performed by a trio of singers, including two-time Grammy Award-winning vocalist Tamika Lawrence and Broadway’s Shaleah Adkisson, Simply the Best celebrates the stories and songs that made Tina Turner one of the greatest performers the world has ever known. Guests will get the chance to rock out to classics like “Proud Mary”, “River Deep – Mountain High”, “Private Dancer”, “Better Be Good to Me” and more, including the number one hit, “What’s Love Got to Do With It”.

Eclectic festival featuring live entertainment and cultural experiences takes over the Keystone Grand Ballroom

After resounding success over the past two years, the 2025 Pennsylvania Polkafest, sponsored by Mrs. T’s Pierogies and The Times Leader, makes its debut in the Keystone Grand Ballroom on Saturday, April 5th. Jimmy Failla hosts Fox News Saturday Night and appears regularly on all the biggest Fox News shows including Gutfeld, Watters World, Hannity, and The Ingraham Angle. Kennedy joined Fox Business Network (FBN) as a contributor in 2012 and most recently hosted the primetime program Kennedy. Specials are offered Friday, February 14th through Sunday, February 16th. Those looking for the full Valentine’s Day experience can also catch The Lalas take over the Keystone Grand Ballroom for an equally hilarious and sexy show at 9:00pm.
The Hive Taphouse will feature a special $75 dinner that includes an appetizer to share, choice of soup or salad, two entrées, and a decadent desert to share. The app choices are Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Classic Shrimp Cocktail, or Margherita Flatbread followed by either a House salad, Classic Ceaser Salad, or Lobster Bisque. The main entrée offers guests either a Neptune’s Kiss: Twin jumbo lump crab cakes with cognac stone ground mustard aioli, Cupid’s Steakhouse; 12-oz. carved prime rib of beef served with classis au jus and horseradish cream sauce, or The Love Shack: Twin pan-seared European chicken breasts with a porcini mushroom and caramelized onion demi-glace. To start, guests can choose between Fried Fresh Mozzarella ($14) which consists of fried fresh panko & herb crusted mozzarella with an arugula salad & marinara and a Berry Burrata Salad ($15) which is made up of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, burrata, and toasted pecans over mixed greens in an orange poppyseed dressing. For the main course, guests have the option of Surf & Turf ($75) which consists of a 7oz. filet mignon and an 8oz. Brazilian lobster tail with a béarnaise sauce and drawn butter, served with grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes or Cajun Shrimp & Crab Pasta ($42) featuring house-made pappardelle pasta with jump lump crab and shrimp in a Cajun roasted pepper cream sauce.

Imagine Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis gathered around some yuletide and singing their legendary hit songs but also merrily singing everyone’s favorite holiday songs, including but not limited to “Jingle Bell Rock,” “White Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Run, Run, Rudolph,” “Blue Christmas,” and many more all performed live with an authentic Rockabilly band.
