WILKES-BARRE, PA – (April 11th, 2018) – Yesterday at a special ribbon cutting, Mohegan Sun Pocono and the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, located at 71 Public Square in Wilkes-Barre PA, cemented a new sponsorship-based partnership. One of the highlights of the gathering, which involved Senior Leadership from both organizations, was the renaming of the lower level of the Kirby Center, which will now be titled The Mohegan Sun Pocono Parlor.

November 30th set as the first occupancy date for new seven-story hotel

The hotel is a part of Project Sunlight, an expansion project that also includes an adjacent 20,000 square-foot Convention Center which will cater to business travelers for any number of special events, meetings, concerts and more. With dividable space, the new Convention Center at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs will be able to accommodate a number of different sized groups up to 800 for seated banquets. The space can even be converted into a concert venue, holding up 1,500 seats.
