New tribute bands join local favorites for an extended version of NEPA’s favorite summer concert series starting Thursday, June 1st
WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 6, 2023) – Calling all tribute band fans! Mohegan Pennsylvania’s Party on the Patio is back and better than ever. The popular, free summer concert series kicks off Thursday, June 1st, and every Thursday through September 14th guests can gather at the Outdoor Concert Venue for a party like no other, hosted by DJ Tommy from The River 105.
This year’s lineup has been extended to 16 weeks of live tribute bands, and Completely Unchained (a tribute to Van Halen), Fooz Fighters (a tribute to the Foo Fighters), Idol Kings (a tribute to Journey/REO Speedwagon), and Country Legends (a tribute to Keith Urban and Garth Brooks) make their summer debut. Local fan favorites Philadelphia Freedom (a tribute to Elton John), Bon Poison (a tribute to Bon Jovi and Poison) and Dustin Douglas & The Electric Gentleman (a tribute to Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan) are just a few bands set to rock the stage. Doors open at 6:30pm and shows starts at 7:30pm. There is no cover for Party on the Patio. After the show, keep the party going with DJ Tommy at Breakers!
After dancing up an appetite, guests can stop by the Mohegan Pennsylvania food tent for freshly grilled burgers and hot dogs or visit a delectable local food truck each week. Coors Light, Blue Moon, Patio Punch and a variety of seltzer, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase.

All guests must be 21+ to attend Party on the Patio. Additionally, most areas of Mohegan Pennsylvania are restricted to guests 21 years of age and older, including the hotel, gaming areas, and several restaurants. Valid, unexpired photo identification is required (driver’s license, passport, military ID). Expired identification will not be accepted. Wristbands issued for Party on the Patio are not valid for the gaming floor. All persons, bags and personal items are subject to inspection. No portable chairs are permitted.

Beginning July 1st, Mohegan Sun Pocono will feature the $1,000,000 Blackbeard’s Bounty Giveaway where Momentum members can participate in a collect and win promotion. Every day during Hot Summer Fun, Momentum members who earn two Status Points can receive a game piece sticker once per day to complete their Blackbeard’s Bounty Treasure Map. The first Momentum member to complete their full treasure map wins $25,000 CASH! Stickers can be printed at the two Blackbeard’s Bounty Kiosks located next to the Promotions booth. “Mystery Reward Mondays” bring the element of surprise to Hot Summer Fun. Each Monday will feature a mystery promotion that could include a Status Point Multiplier, Play 2 Earn Mystery promotion and more. All Momentum members who play their favorite slot machine or table game are eligible!
The first 500 Momentum members to earn one Status Point on “Free T-Shirt Tuesdays” will receive a commemorative Hot Summer Fun 2022 t-shirt! A new design is featured each of the nine weeks! Visit each week to collect all nine! Recipients will receive $10 Free Slot Play when they return on Thursday.

Popular tribute band, Almost Queen, will now take the stage on Friday, July 9th, due to inclement weather in the forecast for Thursday
WILKES-BARRE, PA – (July 7, 2021) – Mohegan Sun Pocono (MSP) will be moving this week’s Party on the Patio event to Friday, July 9th, due to inclement weather forecasted in the NEPA region for this Thursday. Mohegan Sun Pocono made this decision due to the overwhelming demand for the band Almost Queen, one of the most authentic and exhilarating Queen tribute bands. Doors will open at 6:30pm, with opener Dustin Douglas performing at 7:00pm, followed by Almost Queen at 8:00pm.
A portion of the food and beverage sales from this Party on the Patio event will go towards WNEP’s Joe Snedeker’s #GoJoe24 bike ride to support the kids and young adults of the St. Joes Center in Scranton, PA.
Party on the Patio will return to Thursday evenings next week, when The Great Escape (a Tribute to Journey) performs. Party on the Patio, as part of Hot Summer Fun at Mohegan Sun Pocono, has no cover charge and features drink specials and local food trucks each week.

Tribute band fans rejoice! Mohegan Sun Pocono (MSP) is excited to announce the return of Party on the Patio. Every Thursday from June 3rd to September 2nd, 
guests can enjoy Northeast Pennsylvania’s top spot for live entertainment, experience a variety of food truck options, and stay refreshed with drink specials. As always, there is no cover charge at Party on the Patio.
MSP is excited for the return of Party on the Patio and remains dedicated to upholding the highest safety standards for all guests and team members. All Party on the Patio shows will adhere to state, local and CDC guidelines, including operating at reduced capacity and enforcing social distancing. Masks will be required at all times except while eating or drinking. Entry may be denied due to capacity limits and/or failure to adhere to health & safety standards, which are subject to change. Party on the Patio was canceled last summer due to the global pandemic, and this summer, redemption comes in the form of a lineup guests won’t want to miss. In addition to some of the best tribute bands in the country, Badfish is making their Party on the Patio debut on July 1st with Sublime’s greatest hits. The following week, Almost Queen is set to bring the best of Queen to Mohegan Sun Pocono for the first time since 2016. Almost Queen will also have Philadelphia Freedom opening, who are fellow NEPA natives and a tribute to Elton John.
Local food trucks will be featured each week, and Tony Luke’s will also be serving delicious classic Philly cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks all summer long. Coors Light, Blue Moon and a variety of spirits and mixed drinks will also be available.
Party on the Patio performances do not have a cover and doors open at 6:30pm. These incredible bands start rockin’ at 7:30pm. All attendees must be 21 and over and valid identification is required for entry.

WHAT: Guests will have the chance to channel their inner foodie at Mohegan Sun Pocono’s Food Truck Festival. This event will be sure to feature some of the best food truck cuisine in NEPA, live entertainment, family activities and more!

IN DETAIL: Mohegan Sun Pocono’s Food Truck Festival is a special Hot Summer Fun event featuring some truly delicious food truck eats and sweet drink specials. This family-friendly event is open to guests of all ages and admission is free.
Food truck participants include, but are not limited to:
- Nanny Cakes Bakery – A Bloomsburg, PA-based bakery specializing in making delicious cookies, pies, pastries and more from scratch
- Pazzo Pizza Truck – New Hope, PA natives serving delicious, wood-fired pizza
- FonDippity – A husband-wife duo from Dallas, PA, bringing a fun twist to decadent fondue
- 2Wayz One Passion – Authentic Mexican-American cuisine, straight out of Scranton, PA
- Get Rollin Gourmet Egg Rolls – Serving up homemade, unique egg rolls from Pottsville, PA
- Dottie’s Buffalo Bites – Bringing the best boneless wings, cheesesteaks, burgers and more from Benton, PA
- Eat Up Now – A Party on the Patio favorite and creator of the Texas Cheesesteak, all the way from Hanover, PA
Live entertainment will be provided by Screaming Broccolli – a Breakers favorite. The Food Truck Festival will also offer a variety of activities, including axe throwing with Axecessive Force, Tarot Card readings by Tarot for Living and walk-up tournaments with NEPA Cornhole throughout the afternoon. Guests can stick around for some live harness racing action starting at 7:00pm.
