Discovery Channel star brings his “Expedition Unknown” experiences to the Keystone Grand Ballroom on Saturday, October 9th
WILKES-BARRE, PA (August 12, 2021) –Josh Gates, host of Discovery Channel’s “Expedition Unknown,” latest global conquest finds him at Mohegan Sun
Pocono this fall! On Saturday, October 9th Gates looks to bring an evening of ghosts, monsters and adventure to the Keystone Grand Ballroom. This exploration of cutting-edge science kicks off at 7:30pm and is a show all ages will love!
Tickets start at $30 and are on sale Monday, August 16, 2021at 10:00am via Ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Pocono Box Office located at Player’s Club. Guests who purchase their tickets at the Box Office will receive one voucher per ticket for $10.00 in Free Slot Play, valid on Saturday, October 9th. Josh Gates is an avid explorer whose unique brand of humor and deep-rooted passion for adventure propels him to the farthest corners of the world. Discovery Channel’s hit series Expedition Unknown chronicles Gates as he sets out on a global quest to find the truth behind iconic legends and thrilling archaeological mysteries.
In the four-part global event, Expedition Unknown: Search for the Afterlife, Gates tackles mankind’s ultimate mystery as he investigates ancient rituals, paranormal claims, and cutting-edge scientific breakthroughs on the nature of death and consciousness. Gates will also be helming a two-part special in Israel and Jordan working alongside archaeologists attempting to decipher the Dead Sea Scrolls and to uncover new fragments in remote desert caves.
An avid scuba diver and photographer, Gates has participated in sub-sea archaeological excavations in the Mediterranean, and his wanderlust has taken him to over 100 countries. In addition, he has scaled “the roof of Africa” on Mt. Kilimanjaro and climbed Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas. Popular tribute band, Almost Queen, will now take the stage on Friday, July 9th, due to inclement weather in the forecast for Thursday
WILKES-BARRE, PA – (July 7, 2021) – Mohegan Sun Pocono (MSP) will be moving this week’s Party on the Patio event to Friday, July 9th, due to inclement weather forecasted in the NEPA region for this Thursday. Mohegan Sun Pocono made this decision due to the overwhelming demand for the band Almost Queen, one of the most authentic and exhilarating Queen tribute bands. Doors will open at 6:30pm, with opener Dustin Douglas performing at 7:00pm, followed by Almost Queen at 8:00pm.
A portion of the food and beverage sales from this Party on the Patio event will go towards WNEP’s Joe Snedeker’s #GoJoe24 bike ride to support the kids and young adults of the St. Joes Center in Scranton, PA.
Party on the Patio will return to Thursday evenings next week, when The Great Escape (a Tribute to Journey) performs. Party on the Patio, as part of Hot Summer Fun at Mohegan Sun Pocono, has no cover charge and features drink specials and local food trucks each week.

Tribute band fans rejoice! Mohegan Sun Pocono (MSP) is excited to announce the return of Party on the Patio. Every Thursday from June 3rd to September 2nd,
guests can enjoy Northeast Pennsylvania’s top spot for live entertainment, experience a variety of food truck options, and stay refreshed with drink specials. As always, there is no cover charge at Party on the Patio.
MSP is excited for the return of Party on the Patio and remains dedicated to upholding the highest safety standards for all guests and team members. All Party on the Patio shows will adhere to state, local and CDC guidelines, including operating at reduced capacity and enforcing social distancing. Masks will be required at all times except while eating or drinking. Entry may be denied due to capacity limits and/or failure to adhere to health & safety standards, which are subject to change. Party on the Patio was canceled last summer due to the global pandemic, and this summer, redemption comes in the form of a lineup guests won’t want to miss. In addition to some of the best tribute bands in the country, Badfish is making their Party on the Patio debut on July 1st with Sublime’s greatest hits. The following week, Almost Queen is set to bring the best of Queen to Mohegan Sun Pocono for the first time since 2016. Almost Queen will also have Philadelphia Freedom opening, who are fellow NEPA natives and a tribute to Elton John.
Local food trucks will be featured each week, and Tony Luke’s will also be serving delicious classic Philly cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks all summer long. Coors Light, Blue Moon and a variety of spirits and mixed drinks will also be available.
Party on the Patio performances do not have a cover and doors open at 6:30pm. These incredible bands start rockin’ at 7:30pm. All attendees must be 21 and over and valid identification is required for entry.

Star of NBC’s Community to perform in the Keystone Grand Ballroom on Saturday, February 22nd
WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 14, 2019) – On Saturday, February 22nd, get ready to laugh out loud with one of the most sought-after comedians and actors in the industry, Joel McHale. Beginning at 8:00pm in the Keystone Grand Ballroom, Joel will delight and entertain the audience with his legendary humor. This is a show guests won’t want to miss.

Joel McHale was most recently seen in The Happytime Murders as well as Netflix’s A Futile & Stupid Gesture opposite Will Forte, in which he played Chevy Chase, his former Community co-star. McHale also recently hosted The Joel McHale Show With Joel McHale on Netflix, a half-hour topical series that took a sharp, absurdist look at Pop culture and news from across the globe. In 2015, McHale wrapped the 12th and final season of E! Network’s The Soup, in which he satirized Pop culture and current events. He is best known for his starring role on the hit comedy series Community, which ended its sixth season on Yahoo! after five seasons on NBC.

WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 3, 2017) – Coming to Mohegan Sun Pocono, The Clairvoyants – Thommy Ten and Amelie Van Tass, will show off their “second sight” act on Saturday, May 27th beginning at 8:00pm in the Keystone Grand Ballroom. Both Ten and Van Tass were born and raised in Austria and now reside in Austria and America. They met in 2011 and two months later brought their ta
lent to the stage for the first time and have been traveling the world ever since.
Ticket prices start at $30.00 and will go on sale on Friday, April 7th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster.com. Within a year of meeting, The Clairvoyants developed a full-length show and shortly thereafter, began touring Europe. In 2014, they received their first long-term contract in America performing on the show The Illusionarium by Jeff Hobson. A custom theatre was built for this show on the cruise ship Norwegian Getaway.
After a six-month run in The Illusionarium, they were offered a featured spot in the largest touring magic show in the world, The Illusionists, produced by Simon Painter. As part of the brand-new show The Illusionists 1903, they toured Australia, Mexico and the Middle East after which they continued with The Illusionists 2.0 and The Illusionists — Live From Broadway. A highlight of their career was performing at the Sydney Opera House. This winter they experienced another career highlight, appearing in the show The Illusionists — Turn of the Century at the Palace Theatre in New York City, on Broadway.
In 2016, they decided to take part in America’s Got Talent and after four months, six different performances and more than 100,000 contestants, America voted them second place. In October 2016, together with winner Grace Vanderwaal, they appeared at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
Van Tass and Ten were awarded “The German Champions of Mentalism”, “Magicians of the Year 2015”, and, also in 2015, were enthusiastically chosen as the “World Champions of Mentalism”, a prize that hadn’t been awarded in 30 years.
