Grammy Award winners to perform on August 1st
Iconic Rock legends, The Doobie Brothers, are “Takin’ it to the Streets” with a stop on their nationwide tour at Mohegan Sun Pocono
’s Keystone Grand Ballroom on Saturday, August 1, 2015. This can’t-miss show will include classic songs and new recordings and is sure to be an unforgettable performance for fans of all ages.
Tickets are $80, $50 and $30 and will go on sale on Friday, May 22nd at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. The Doobie Brothers’ numerous Top 10 hits span more than four decades and include “Black Water,” “What a Fool Believes” and “Rockin’ Down the Highway.” Throughout their career, the legendary rockers have sold over 40 million multi-platinum, platinum and gold albums, been recipients of four Grammy Awards and continue to write and record new material and tour the world. In 2014, some of Country music’s biggest stars joined them in new recordings of the band’s classic hits for their album Southbound, released by Arista Nashville. The Doobie Brothers boast one of the largest and most loyal fan bases in Rock music and this new venture into the Country music genre is surely set to introduce a new generation to their infectious music and classic sing-a-longs.

Since March 12th, 32 bands have competed in Mohegan Sun Pocono’s 5th Battle of the Bands competition, and on Thursday, May 21st the winner will finally be chosen and awarded the grand prize of $10,000 cash. The finalists to compete are Nowhere Slow, Coast 2 Coast, Stealing Neil and Facing the Giants.

Located right off the hotel lobby, The Terrace gives guests a relaxing outdoor venue with cozy seating around a fire pit. Grab a cocktail with your friends at the private bar and enjoy live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night throughout the summer starting May 22nd. May’s entertainment lineup on The Terrace includes tunes from Mike Dougherty on the 22nd, Music for Models on the 23rd, MiZ on the 29th and Chillin’ in Public on the 30th.

The band behind Eddie and the Cruisers live on February 21st
Rock and Roll legends John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band, regarded as one of the best live acts on the East Coast, will bring their chart-topping hits to the Keystone Grand Ballroom in the Convention Center at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs for a live concert event on Friday, February 21st at 8:00pm.

John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band are best known as the band behind Eddie and the Cruisers, the fictional Rock group from the 1983 hit film of the same name. As an award-winning songwriter and recording artist with multi-platinum albums to his name, Cafferty brings a passion and excitement to his music that has transcended over three decades of East Coast Rock dominance. In concert, John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band deliver Billboard rock-chart toppers including “Tough All Over,” the Eddie and the Cruisers track “On The Dark Side” and more.
Cafferty was inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame in 2012 and was among the first bands inducted into the Wolf Den Hall of Fame at Mohegan Sun’s flagship location in Connecticut in 2011.

A lively sendoff for the 2013 season of Hot Summer Fun
WHAT: A Labor Day weekend concert featuring Bad Hair Day followed by fireworks at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs
WHEN/WHERE: Sunday, September 1st from 7:00pm – 10:00pm on the apron of the racetrack
IN DETAIL: Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is set to conclude their season-long Hot Summer Fun festivities with a literal bang! It all begins with a special concert featuring 80s Hair Band tribute, Bad Hair Day, playing energetic interpretations of some of the Hair Band era’s biggest hits. $3.00 Coors Light drafts and concessions will be served during the free concert which takes place on the apron of the racetrack at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
Doors open at 6:00pm with the band playing two, one-hour sets, one at 7:00pm and the other at 8:30pm. An all-ages fireworks extravaganza will follow the last set at 9:30pm.
