Spooky Halloween party set to take over The Hive Taphouse and Embers Terrace on Thursday, October 31st
WILKES-BARRE, PA (October 1, 2024) – Guests looking for Halloween plans can look no further than joining Mohegan Pennsylvania for Haunt at the Hive. On Thursday, October 31st at 8:00pm, The Hive Taphouse and Embers Terrace will be transformed into the best Halloween Party in Northeast Pennsylvania, featuring food & beverage specials, live entertainment and a spooky good time.
All are welcome to dress in their best Halloween costume, and those who dare to be bold are encouraged to enter in the costume contest. There are three categories – “Scariest,” “Most Original” and “Couple or Group” – and the first-place winner in each category will win a $250 Mohegan Pennsylvania gift card! Costume photos will be taken upon registration, and winners will be announced at 11:00pm.
From 8:00pm – 11:30pm, The Hive Taphouse and Embers Terrace will feature can’t-miss live entertainment. Over at The Hive Taphouse, Hoopla Band Lite will perform the best selection of music that promises to keep the good times rolling. The River 105 and 103.5’s DJ Tommy will be providing guests with an electric atmosphere over at Embers Terrace.
All guests must be 21 or older with valid ID to attend Haunt at the Hive. Costumes are not required; masks and full-face paint are only allowed in the event spaces.

WILKES-BARRE, PA (August 23, 2023) – On Saturday, October 7th and Sunday, October 8th, the Keystone Grand Ballroom at Mohegan Pennsylvania will host the popular special event, A Golden Girls Mystery: The Halloween Caper. This spine-chilling event allows the audience to become a part of the action during a 90-minute murder mystery. Guests will be playing detective and tasked with following clues, interrogating suspects and more. The show on October 7th starts at 8:00pm and the show on October 8th starts at 2:00pm, with doors opening 30 minutes before the start of each show. Tickets are on-sale now for $35.00, and available online through Without A Cue Productions. Tickets will not be available for purchase at Mohegan Pennsylvania.
The Golden Girls are at it again! Miami’s Fab Four are planning their annual Halloween Shindig, and the goblins and ghouls have all come out to play. As Rose dresses the room in traditional St. Olaf Halloween decorations and Blanche dons her cat ears, Dorothy eagerly anticipates a surprise guest…but the surprise might be on her when things don’t work out the way she hoped and Sophia shows us her Psycho side. In the end, all we can say is…thank you for being a fiend!
There will be several opportunities to take selfies with the characters (and a fun race to see who can get them all first), hidden clues, and even an opportunity to get a mugshot taken. Once the performance begins, guests will become part of the action as they play detective and try to solve the mystery.

A Golden Girls Mystery: The Halloween Caper is an event recommended for guests ages 13 and up. Please note, most areas of Mohegan Pennsylvania, including the hotel, are restricted to ages 21 years and older. All minors attending the show must enter through the hotel entrance, proceed directly to the event and be accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older at all times.

The all-new Hive Taphouse will host NEPA’s top Halloween Party on Saturday, October 29th starting at 8:00pm
Guests are in for a treat when a new Halloween bash hits Mohegan Sun
Pocono (MSP) on Saturday, October 29th from 8:00pm – 10:00pm inside The Hive Taphouse. The Haunt at the Hive will have its own Halloween costume party set to award cash prizes for the best costumes in different categories. The Haunt in the Hive will also feature the popular band, Screaming Broccolli, on the music stage.
For entry into the costume party, guests must be 21+ and register on the Sky Bridge outside of The Hive Taphouse during the event. Contest winners will be announced at 11:00pm. There will be three categories; Scariest, Most Original and new this year, Best Couple or Group costume! The top prize for each category will check in at $300 in cash. From there, 2nd and 3rd place in each category will be awarded $200 and $100 respectively. It’s time for the most enthusiastic Halloween partiers in northeast PA to bring their A-game! The Haunt in the Hive will also feature a drink special, The Zombie – made with Vodka, Midori Lime, Blue Curacao and RumChata.
In addition to a killer costume contest, the rockers by way of Staten Island, NY, Screaming Broccolli, will be on-hand providing live entertainment. Led by long-time front man Michael Laughlin, Screaming Broccolli has played across the northeast and east coast, and was named by SiLive.com “Best of Staten Island” for being the region’s best cover band. Plus, guests should be sure to dance by the DJ booth, as DJae Mêlée will pick his favorite costume of the night and the winner receives $500! All winners will be announced at 11:00pm.
