WILKES-BARRE, PA (May 20, 2024) – Distinguished comedian, current America’s Got Talent judge and former Deal or No Deal host, Howie Mandel, is set to bring his talents to the Keystone Grand Ballroom at Mohegan Pennsylvania on Friday, October 18th. Doors for this can’t-miss performance open at 6:30pm and the laughs begin at 8:00pm. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 24th at 10:00am via ticketmaster.com. Howie Mandel has remained a constant force in show business for more than 30 years. He can currently be seen on NBC’s flagship series America’s Got Talent, where he has served as a judge for eleven seasons. He recently finished production on his new documentary Howie Mandel: But Enough About Me. Other recent projects include judging NBC’s America’s Got Talent: The Champions, CNBC’s Deal or No Deal, where he served as executive producer and host, and Nat Geo Wild’s Animals Doing Things, where he co-hosted with his son, Alex. He also executive produced the Quibi series Kirby Jenner. In 2019, he released his first solo special in 20 years, Howie Mandel Presents Howie Mandel at the Howie Mandel Comedy Club.
Mandel has done countless comedy specials both on cable and network television. He has also hosted his own syndicated talk show, The Howie Mandel Show, and is a mainstay on the talk show circuit. He continues to perform as many as 200 standup comedy shows each year throughout the U.S. and Canada.

WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 23, 2024) – This year marks the 15th anniversary of Northeast Pennsylvania’s iconic outdoor concert series, Party on the Patio and to mark the occasion, Mohegan Pennsylvania and Runaway Train Brewery have collaborated on the special Party On The Patio Lager with Lime’ craft beer. The ultra refreshing, super drinkable malt beverage was brewed by Northeast Pennsylvania’s very own, Runaway Train Brewery, based in Honesdale.
“This craft beer was the result of hours of collaboration, planning and taste testing” said Vince Benedetto, a Managing Partner of Runaway Train. “Our Brew Master, Charles Mills, took great care to create a delicious beverage that would pair perfectly with the Party On The Patio experience. Everything, from the locally sourced premium ingredients to the can artwork, are designed to capture the incredible vibe and energy of the Mohegan Pennsylvania outdoor concert environment.”
Mohegan Pennsylvania and Runaway Train Brewery will debut the Party On The Patio Lager with Lime at a special launch party on Saturday, April 27th, from 2:00pm – 4:30pm at Embers Terrace. The event is for ages 21+ and is open to the public. Thereafter, the Party On The Patio Lager with Lime beer will be available in cans and on draft at all Party On The Patio events this spring and summer, and on tap throughout Mohegan Pennsylvania.
The Party On The Patio Lager with Lime is an American lager style at 4.8% ABV with a hint of lime. The beer is brewed with a base malt only purchased from Pennsylvania farmers. Small portions of specialty malts are added to lighten the body and create a wonderfully smooth drinking experience. After fermentation, a touch of lime is added while in the conditioning tanks to make a delightfully refreshing and satisfying brew.
The 15th year of Party On The Patio will be its biggest to date. WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 2, 2024) – With the 150th Kentucky Derby taking place on Saturday, May 4th, Mohegan Pennsylvania is set to host a Kentucky Derby Party like never before! Beginning at 2:00pm, this annual event will provide guests with an opportunity to indulge in delicious bites, try various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, participate in a Hat Revue for a chance to win up to a $500 Mohegan Pennsylvania gift card and join in on a promotion where guests can win up to $1,000 in free wagers. Additionally, a special edition of Party on the Patio will take place after the race! There is no cover for the Kentucky Derby Party and Party on the Patio.
The Kentucky Derby Party will feature Coors Light, Blue Moon, a variety of seltzers, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests can also enjoy the official cocktail of the Kentucky Derby, the Mint Julep, with an opportunity to upgrade to a specialty 150th Anniversary Kentucky Derby glass while supplies last. Those looking to grab a quick bite can head over to the Burger Bus and Eat Up Now food trucks where a variety of mouthwatering options will be available. Guests can stop by the Best Cigar Pub booth where a live cigar roller will be in action and a selection of cigars will be available for purchase. Additionally, guests can relax and listen to acoustic music by Ken Norton from 2:00pm – 6:00pm.
Throughout the day, the Spa Sapphire team will be set up in the racing lobby and assisting guests with Derby Day essentials. Additionally, guests can explore Spa Sapphire’s exquisite five-star services and plan a day of luxurious self-care.
The Hat Revue is back, and guests have an opportunity to compete for lucrative prizes! Registration for the Hat Revue will be from 4:00pm – 6:00pm in the racing lobby. Top prizes include a $500 Mohegan Pennsylvania gift card that will be awarded to the “Best Couple” or “Group Themed Hats”. Winners of the “Most Classic Derby Hat” and “Most Creative Hat” categories will each receive a $250 Mohegan Pennsylvania gift card. Mohegan Pennsylvania gift cards can be redeemed towards an overnight stay, divine dining choices and incredible shopping selections across the property.
Beginning at 10:00am on Friday, May 3rd, Mohegan Pennsylvania will accept advanced Kentucky Derby wagers in Simulcast and tellers will be available to assist. Beginning at 10:00am on Saturday, May 4th, Simulcast will be self-service but guests can place wagers with tellers at the upper-level Pacer’s Clubhouse betting windows. No live harness racing meets are scheduled for May 4th but Simulcast wagering will be available for all tracks with live meets including Churchill Downs throughout the day. All guests must be 18 years or older to place wagers at the indoor Simulcast location.
Mohegan Pennsylvania is holding a promotion where guests who wager $100 or more with a teller on any race will receive one entry for every $100 wagered. Guests must place these entries into one of the 20 boxes located in the racing lobby based on who they think will win the Kentucky Derby. At approximately 6:57pm, the Kentucky Derby will begin, televised on the outdoor jumbo screen and indoor racing TVs. At the conclusion of the race, four winners will be selected out of the corresponding boxes of the official top four finishers. The selected first-place box winner will receive $1,000 in free wagers valid for Preakness Stakes on Saturday, May 18th. Second – fourth place winners will receive $500, $250 and $100 in free wagers, respectively.
Immediately following the end of the Kentucky Derby broadcast, The River 105 and 103.5’s DJ Tommy will take the stage to emcee Party on the Patio. This special edition Party on the Patio will take place from 7:30pm – 10:00pm and will feature Philadelphia Freedom, a tribute to Elton John. Philadelphia Freedom (a tribute to Elton John) also takes the stage during week one for a special Derby Day edition of Party on the Patio on Saturday, May 4th. On Saturday, June 15th, there will be two shows, one at 5:00pm and the other at 8:00pm. The show on Sunday, June 16th starts at 2:00pm. Doors will open 30 minutes before the start of each show. Tickets are on-sale now for $35.00, and available online through Without A Cue Productions. Tickets will not be available for purchase at Mohegan Pennsylvania.
There will be several opportunities to take selfies with the characters (and a fun race to see who can get them all first), hidden clues, and even an opportunity to get a mugshot taken. Once the performance begins, guests will become part of the action as they play detective and try to solve the mystery.

“A Dundie Demise: An Office Whodunit” is an event recommended for guests ages 13 and up. PA’s premier Gaming & Entertainment Destination also re-opens Spa Sapphire; and Wise Crackers Comedy Club has a new Location
WILKES-BARRE, PA (February 7, 2024) – Last year Mohegan Pennsylvania embarked on a $10 million refresh to its hotel with the aim of refreshing and updating all 238-rooms and suites. That goal was achieved this fall with the completion of the final stage of this major renovation known as “Project Starlight,” which also saw enhancements and new openings across the resort.
“As can be seen from the new images on MoheganPA.com and for anyone who has stayed with us recently, the look & feel of our renovated hotel rooms is exceptional,” -said Tony Carlucci, President & GM of Mohegan PA. “Along with our partner Daroff Design, we set out to create a fresher and more contemporary atmosphere with upgraded amenities and we’re thrilled with the results. Every detail was considered during this project, and we’re delighted with the new hotel experience that has already generated great feedback from guests!”
This major project on the Mohegan Pennsylvania Hotel included a complete renovation to all guests rooms. This meant that brand new bathrooms, more comfortable beds and upgraded workspaces were key areas of improvement. Enhanced WiFi and new smart TVs with bill review and check out accessibility are also now featured at the hotel. There are also 20 luxurious suites which offer more space and additional rooms. The design concept for the project also drew inspiration from the incredible topography, landscape, natural resources and personality of the Susquehanna River Valley. Daroff Design brought this to life; marrying it to enhanced functionality for guests, which not only creates a beautiful room for guests, but meets their needs and comforts as well.

On the first floor of the Hotel at Mohegan Pennsylvania also sits the popular 4,000 square-foot Spa Sapphire. Mohegan Pennsylvania has also relocated Wise Crackers Comedy Club to a more convenient location for comedy goers, as the venue is now just steps from the hotel lobby. The venue features a regular lineup of incredible stand-up comedians, WiseCrackers regularly features live music, magic, ventriloquism and more. Hilarious acts scheduled for the winter season include Eagle Witt with Jarrod Micale on Friday, February 9th and Saturday, February 10th; Bryan McKenna with Mike Toohey and Keir Williams on Friday, February 16th and Saturday, February 17th and Joe Fisch with Sam Rubinoff and Sarah Bell on Friday, February 23rd and Saturday, February 24th. The first major enhancements that opened as part of Project Starlight occurred just ahead of summer 2022 when Mohegan PA launched The Hive Taphouse (which is also home to Top Golf Swing Suites) and the outdoor attraction, Embers Terrace at Hive. The Hive Taphouse features Trivia and Karoke on Fridays and a rotation of incredible local music acts every Saturday including The Fuchery on February 10th, Down and Jay Orrell Duo on February 17th. The Hive is home to 20+ beers on tap and a full menu that serves up “Taco Tuesdays” with half-off tacos and “Burger Wednesdays” with half-off burgers. In addition to the variety of IPAs, stouts and Ale’s, The Hive is home to tasty hard ciders as well. The Hive Taphouse also hosts special events throughout the year, with Trivia Night with DJ Tommy taking place every Friday evening starting at 7:30pm, and the popular party band Toolshed Jack later this month on Saturday, February 24th.
