WILKES-BARRE, PA (March 16, 2020) – Mohegan Sun Pocono will temporarily close all casino, and resort operations, effective at 8:00pm on Monday, March 16th. These actions come amid the necessary precautions due to COVID-19 and in close consultation with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) as well as local and state health authorities.
“In response to the rapidly developing situation surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19) and our efforts to protect the health and safety of our valued guests and team members, Mohegan Sun Pocono is acting to comply with the direction of Governor Wolf’s office to promote social distancing and limit/prohibit mass gatherings and will temporarily close its doors beginning at 8:00pm on Monday, March 16, 2020”, said Anthony Carlucci, President & General Manager of Mohegan Sun Pocono. “All activities are cancelled, including live racing, casino promotions and events.”
“The wellness of our guests and team members is our top priority. While there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at the property, Mohegan Sun Pocono is temporarily closing at the direction of the Governor’s office in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among large groups in the state of Pennsylvania. While we are temporarily closed we will be taking the opportunity to further deep clean our property. Du ring this temporary closure there will 24/7 security presence at Mohegan Sun Pocono.”

Molly O’Sheas is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with special menu items starting Friday, March 13th through Tuesday, March 17th. In addition to the delicious everyday menu, guests can devour Shepherd’s Pie, Drunken Beef Fries, and Bangers & Mash. Guests can also pair their favorite dish with Molly O’Sheas daily drink specials. On Friday March 13th, Guinness drafts are $3.00 from 7:00pm – Midnight. Saturday from Noon – 7:00pm, 20oz. SBC Goldencold Lager Drafts are $4.00. On Sunday and Monday, 20oz. Star of NBC’s Community to perform in the Keystone Grand Ballroom on Saturday, February 22nd
WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 14, 2019) – On Saturday, February 22nd, get ready to laugh out loud with one of the most sought-after comedians and actors in the industry, Joel McHale. Beginning at 8:00pm in the Keystone Grand Ballroom, Joel will delight and entertain the audience with his legendary humor. This is a show guests won’t want to miss.

Joel McHale was most recently seen in The Happytime Murders as well as Netflix’s A Futile & Stupid Gesture opposite Will Forte, in which he played Chevy Chase, his former Community co-star. McHale also recently hosted The Joel McHale Show With Joel McHale on Netflix, a half-hour topical series that took a sharp, absurdist look at Pop culture and news from across the globe. In 2015, McHale wrapped the 12th and final season of E! Network’s The Soup, in which he satirized Pop culture and current events. At the Ultimate Retro Dance Party, guests can boogie on over to the dance floor at the Keystone Grand Ballroom until the clock strikes midnight, while enjoying drink specials, live entertainment and some nostalgic music videos. Plus, snap a picture of Prince or grab a selfie with Cher, Elton John or Freddie Mercury as a star-studded list of impersonators perform throughout the night.
The cover charge for this event is $10.00 and may be paid in advance at the Mohegan Sun Pocono Box Office located at Player’s Club or via ticketmaster.com starting Friday, November 8th. Prizes will be awarded for “scariest”, “sexiest”, “most casino”, and “most original” costumes. First place in each category takes home $500 cash, second place receives $250 and third place receives $150. Best overall costume wins $1,000! Plus, guests should be sure to dance by the DJ booth, as DJae Mêlée will pick his favorite costume of the night and the winner receives $500! All winners will be announced at 11:00pm.
Guests must be 21 or older with valid ID to attend this event. Masks and full face paint are only allowed in the event space.
