WILKES-BARRE, PA (May 22, 2024) – Mohegan Pennsylvania is ready to start a summer to remember at the Hot Summer Fun Kick-Off featuring Almost Queen on Friday, June 28th! Starting at 6:00pm, guests are invited to sit back and relax at the Outdoor Concert Venue while enjoying refreshing beverages like the brand-new Party on the Patio Lager with Lime, a special collaboration with Runaway Train Brewery. Delicious bites will be provided by local lobster food truck Wicked Pissah, and Burger Bus will also serve up delectable hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches and seasoned Patio Fries.
At 7:30pm, Almost Queen: A Tribute to Queen takes the stage with a classic set guests won’t want to miss! They don’t just pay tribute to the legendary band, Almost Queen transports guests back in time to experience the magic and essence of Queen themselves. This deliberate four-piece band is “guaranteed to blow your mind” with iconic four-part harmonies and expertly executed musical interludes. WILKES-BARRE, PA (May 20, 2024) – Distinguished comedian, current America’s Got Talent judge and former Deal or No Deal host, Howie Mandel, is set to bring his talents to the Keystone Grand Ballroom at Mohegan Pennsylvania on Friday, October 18th. Doors for this can’t-miss performance open at 6:30pm and the laughs begin at 8:00pm. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 24th at 10:00am via ticketmaster.com. Howie Mandel has remained a constant force in show business for more than 30 years. He can currently be seen on NBC’s flagship series America’s Got Talent, where he has served as a judge for eleven seasons. He recently finished production on his new documentary Howie Mandel: But Enough About Me. Other recent projects include judging NBC’s America’s Got Talent: The Champions, CNBC’s Deal or No Deal, where he served as executive producer and host, and Nat Geo Wild’s Animals Doing Things, where he co-hosted with his son, Alex. He also executive produced the Quibi series Kirby Jenner. In 2019, he released his first solo special in 20 years, Howie Mandel Presents Howie Mandel at the Howie Mandel Comedy Club.
Mandel has done countless comedy specials both on cable and network television. He has also hosted his own syndicated talk show, The Howie Mandel Show, and is a mainstay on the talk show circuit. He continues to perform as many as 200 standup comedy shows each year throughout the U.S. and Canada.

WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 23, 2024) – This year marks the 15th anniversary of Northeast Pennsylvania’s iconic outdoor concert series, Party on the Patio and to mark the occasion, Mohegan Pennsylvania and Runaway Train Brewery have collaborated on the special Party On The Patio Lager with Lime’ craft beer. The ultra refreshing, super drinkable malt beverage was brewed by Northeast Pennsylvania’s very own, Runaway Train Brewery, based in Honesdale.
“This craft beer was the result of hours of collaboration, planning and taste testing” said Vince Benedetto, a Managing Partner of Runaway Train. “Our Brew Master, Charles Mills, took great care to create a delicious beverage that would pair perfectly with the Party On The Patio experience. Everything, from the locally sourced premium ingredients to the can artwork, are designed to capture the incredible vibe and energy of the Mohegan Pennsylvania outdoor concert environment.”
Mohegan Pennsylvania and Runaway Train Brewery will debut the Party On The Patio Lager with Lime at a special launch party on Saturday, April 27th, from 2:00pm – 4:30pm at Embers Terrace. The event is for ages 21+ and is open to the public. Thereafter, the Party On The Patio Lager with Lime beer will be available in cans and on draft at all Party On The Patio events this spring and summer, and on tap throughout Mohegan Pennsylvania.
The Party On The Patio Lager with Lime is an American lager style at 4.8% ABV with a hint of lime. The beer is brewed with a base malt only purchased from Pennsylvania farmers. Small portions of specialty malts are added to lighten the body and create a wonderfully smooth drinking experience. After fermentation, a touch of lime is added while in the conditioning tanks to make a delightfully refreshing and satisfying brew.
The 15th year of Party On The Patio will be its biggest to date. WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 2, 2024) – With the 150th Kentucky Derby taking place on Saturday, May 4th, Mohegan Pennsylvania is set to host a Kentucky Derby Party like never before! Beginning at 2:00pm, this annual event will provide guests with an opportunity to indulge in delicious bites, try various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, participate in a Hat Revue for a chance to win up to a $500 Mohegan Pennsylvania gift card and join in on a promotion where guests can win up to $1,000 in free wagers. Additionally, a special edition of Party on the Patio will take place after the race! There is no cover for the Kentucky Derby Party and Party on the Patio.
The Kentucky Derby Party will feature Coors Light, Blue Moon, a variety of seltzers, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests can also enjoy the official cocktail of the Kentucky Derby, the Mint Julep, with an opportunity to upgrade to a specialty 150th Anniversary Kentucky Derby glass while supplies last. Those looking to grab a quick bite can head over to the Burger Bus and Eat Up Now food trucks where a variety of mouthwatering options will be available. Guests can stop by the Best Cigar Pub booth where a live cigar roller will be in action and a selection of cigars will be available for purchase. Additionally, guests can relax and listen to acoustic music by Ken Norton from 2:00pm – 6:00pm.
Throughout the day, the Spa Sapphire team will be set up in the racing lobby and assisting guests with Derby Day essentials. Additionally, guests can explore Spa Sapphire’s exquisite five-star services and plan a day of luxurious self-care.
The Hat Revue is back, and guests have an opportunity to compete for lucrative prizes! Registration for the Hat Revue will be from 4:00pm – 6:00pm in the racing lobby. Top prizes include a $500 Mohegan Pennsylvania gift card that will be awarded to the “Best Couple” or “Group Themed Hats”. Winners of the “Most Classic Derby Hat” and “Most Creative Hat” categories will each receive a $250 Mohegan Pennsylvania gift card. Beginning at 10:00am on Friday, May 3rd, Mohegan Pennsylvania will accept advanced Kentucky Derby wagers in Simulcast and tellers will be available to assist. Beginning at 10:00am on Saturday, May 4th, Simulcast will be self-service but guests can place wagers with tellers at the upper-level Pacer’s Clubhouse betting windows. No live harness racing meets are scheduled for May 4th but Simulcast wagering will be available for all tracks with live meets including Churchill Downs throughout the day. All guests must be 18 years or older to place wagers at the indoor Simulcast location.
Mohegan Pennsylvania is holding a promotion where guests who wager $100 or more with a teller on any race will receive one entry for every $100 wagered. Guests must place these entries into one of the 20 boxes located in the racing lobby based on who they think will win the Kentucky Derby. At approximately 6:57pm, the Kentucky Derby will begin, televised on the outdoor jumbo screen and indoor racing TVs. At the conclusion of the race, four winners will be selected out of the corresponding boxes of the official top four finishers. The selected first-place box winner will receive $1,000 in free wagers valid for Preakness Stakes on Saturday, May 18th. Second – fourth place winners will receive $500, $250 and $100 in free wagers, respectively.
Immediately following the end of the Kentucky Derby broadcast, The River 105 and 103.5’s DJ Tommy will take the stage to emcee Party on the Patio. This special edition Party on the Patio will take place from 7:30pm – 10:00pm and will feature Philadelphia Freedom, a tribute to Elton John. This year’s series is like no other, with 23 bands taking the stage over the course of 22 weeks. The first week kicks off on Thursday, May 2nd, with Stayin’ Alive bringing the best of the BeeGees. Philadelphia Freedom (a tribute to Elton John) also takes the stage during week one for a special Derby Day edition of Party on the Patio on Saturday, May 4th.
