WILKES-BARRE, PA (February 13, 2019) – It’s St. Patrick’s Day at Mohegan Sun Pocono and Molly O’Sheas is the home base for all things green and gold. The Irish Pub & Eatery is offering specials and live entertainment from Friday, March 15th to Sunday, March 17th.
Food specials feature a variety of Irish-inspired classics:
- Drunken Beef Fries – whiskey-braised beef topped with waffle fries and slathered in sharp cheese sauce
- Smashed Red Bliss Potato Dippers – whole red bliss potatoes smashed and fried to perfection with a duo of dipping sauces
- Corned Beef and Rumbledethumps – chunked corned beef served with a casserole of potato, onion, and cabbage, topped with melted cheese accompanies with grain mustard
- Guinness Fish and Chips – Guinness-battered fried fish served with waffle fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce
Molly O’Sheas is also welcoming the return of the Reuben Challenge. Order a 4lb Reuben (valued at $29.99) and if it’s eaten in 60 minutes or less, the Reuben is free. Those who complete the challenge also receive a free t-shirt.
Pair the festive food specials with St. Paddy’s inspired drinks:

strategic partnership with Kindred Group (previously Unibet Group), for online and offline sports betting and online gaming in Pennsylvania. The initial phase of the strategic partnership covers five years with the possibility to extend the collaboration for two additional five-year terms.

announce that David Parfrey has been named Vice President of Marketing. Parfrey is a day-one team member of Mohegan Sun Pocono, which opened in November of 2006. He also worked for previous ownership, Pocono Downs racetrack, since 2000.
“David has been an integral part of the Mohegan Sun Pocono family for many years as well as being a great leader & voice of expertise within our financial division,” said Anthony Carlucci, President and CEO of Mohegan Sun Pocono. “This promotion is well deserved and we’re excited to see his career advance to the senior leadership level within marketing for our premier gaming & entertainment destination here in Pennsylvania.”
A graduate of Penn State University with a focus in Accounting, Parfrey’s career took root at Mohegan Sun Pocono in the mid-2000s where he excelled in financial work for the company, which led to a promotion to Director of Finance in 2009; a position he held until 2017. From there, Parfrey’s role & responsibilities progressed further, as he was named Director of Financial Planning & Analysis in July 2017. Parfrey led the Marketing Analytics team in this role along with advising senior management on operational trends, maintaining financial budgeting and overseeing financial modeling projects associated with capital investment opportunities. As the new VP of Marketing, Parfrey will oversee all consumer and casino communications at Mohegan Sun Pocono, including entertainment, promotions, special events and more.
