Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is ready to celebrate Thanksgiving in delectable style this year with some great dining options from two of their finest restaurants. Traditional fare from roasted turkey and pecan pie to more innovative fall recipes like pumpkin ravioli are just a few of the dishes that will be on the menu this Thanksgiving from Rustic Kitchen Bistro & Bar, Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Timbers Buffet.
Rustic Kitchen Bistro & Bar will start diners off with the wonderfully rich fall flavor of Butternut Squash Soup for $8.00 or a Harvest Salad with mixed field greens, dried cranberries, toasted walnuts, pears and goat cheese with cranberry vinaigrette for $9.00. Entrée selections offer a choice between Traditional Roasted Turkey breast with stuffing, mashed potatoes, baby carrots, cranberry sauce and gravy for $25.00 or house-made Pumpkin Ravioli stuffed with pumpkin and mascarpone cheese in sage cream sauce for $21.00. For dessert, Rustic Kitchen offers a difficult choice between decadent Chocolate Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Crème Brulee of Apple Crostada a la Mode all for $9.00.
Ruth’s Chris Steak House is offering a three-course Thanksgiving dinner special for $39.95. For their first course, diners can choose from Caesar Salad, Louisiana Seafood Gumbo or a Steak House Salad. The entrée is a Carved Turkey Dinner with Ruth’s Sausage & Herb Stuffing, homemade gravy and cranberry relish. Choices of sides include green beans, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes or creamed spinach. For dessert, indulge in Pumpkin Cheesecake with Vanilla Ice Cream.
Timbers Buffet is serving Thanksgiving dinner from 11:00am until 8:00pm for $19.99 per person and $12.99 for children 10 and under. Items on the menu include Whole Roasted Turkey, Korean Garlic Chicken, Thanksgiving Stuffing, Crab Macaroni & Cheese with Smoked Gouda Crumb Topping, Ravioli with Pumpkin Sage Cream Sauce and Spice Crumb Topping, Rock Sole with Pinot Grigio and Lemon Butter Sauce and Pumpkin Roll and Shoofly Pie for dessert.
Additionally, throughout Thanksgiving Day at Betty & Joe’s, guests who buy a slice of Pumpkin Pie will receive their second slice for 50% off.

The popular Player’s Club promotion to continue indefinitely
At the start of summer, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs announced that free draft beer would be offered throughout the season to Player’s Club members using their Player’s Club card while enjoying their favorite games. Due to its success, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is excited to announce that the free beer promotion will continue to flow indefinitely.
Beers on draft include Heineken, Miller Lite, Coors Light and Labatt Blue. To be eligible, Player’s Club members need to be playing one of the more than 2,300 slots machines or 80 table games at the property with their Player’s Club card.
Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs encourages responsible drinking. If guests of the casino need a ride, BarHoppers will drive them and any guests in their own car to a destination of their choice. Distance-based fees apply.

Breakers After Dark and M Bar offer exciting new nightlife options
Mohegan Sun At Pocono Downs is excited to announce all-new nightlife enhancements to their property with the addition of Breakers After Dark and M Bar. Both Breakers After Dark and M Bar will join a collection of restaurants and venues that reinforce Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs’ standing as one of the most distinctive entertainment destinations in Pennsylvania.
Breakers After Dark is the newest evolution of Breakers; Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs’ signature hotspot. Starting August 29th, every Thursday night beginning at 10:00pm, Breakers will transform into an all-new nightclub where the hottest DJ’s energize the night until 2:00am. With a curtain enclosing the space to make a more intimate atmosphere, Breakers After Dark will pulse with cutting edge music, enhanced lighting, custom video and bottle service to create northeast Pennsylvania’s newest, exclusive nightlife experience. DJ’s for the first two weeks are DJ Fish and K-Mack who will kick things off beginning at 10:00pm.

Before dancing the night away at Breakers After Dark, guests can enjoy a drink at M Bar, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs’ newest meeting spot. M Bar is an intimate alcove bar located in the self-park entrance, across from what will soon be the hotel lobby. WHAT: Pennsylvania’s largest and most popular Oktoberfest, the PA Oktoberfest, kicks off on Friday, September 13th for three days of food, entertainment and of course, beer! The event is sponsored by Times-Shamrock Communications and takes place on the racetrack apron at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

IN DETAIL: PA Oktoberfest, the largest Oktoberfest in Pennsylvania and one of the top 10 Oktoberfest celebrations in the nation, returns to Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs with more than 50 beers, award-winning traditional entertainers, local bands, food, wiener dog racing, a strong arm contest and more. This year’s festival is anything but pint sized, with three days’ worth of new activities featured alongside Oktoberfest staples.
Among the numerous live entertainment acts performing at this year’s PA Oktoberfest are multi-Grammy Award winning Polka band, Jimmy Sturr and his Orchestra. Also performing at this year’s festival are the Alpine Horns, known for playing the traditional Celtic Alphorn.
Tickets for PA Oktoberfest can be purchased at the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs Box Office and at Sure Save stores throughout Northeast PA on August 15th.

WHAT: Begin your Independence Day celebrations early with a July 3rd fireworks spectacular, drink specials and live music at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. On the 4th, dance your night away with a Party on the Patio concert featuring the Jimmy Buffett tribute band Parrot Beach.

IN DETAIL: Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is set to launch their 4th of July festivities with a bang, celebrating the holiday with a fireworks extravaganza scheduled for approximately 9:30pm on Wednesday, July 3rd. The fireworks will come at the conclusion of an evening of action packed harness racing with a special post time of 5:30pm on the track at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
On Independence Day, the celebrations continue with the hottest party in Luzerne County. Starting at 6:00pm, the beach comes to NEPA with a special Party on the Patio featuring the celebrated Jimmy Buffett tribute band Parrot Beach. The band goes on at 7:30pm and $2.00 draft beer specials flow throughout the night.
A variety of live music and drink specials are also being offered in some of Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs’ other venues throughout each night. Beat City hits the stage in Breakers at 9:30pm on Wednesday, July 3rd, with Big Bang Baby playing a show from 10:30pm-2:00am on Thursday, July 4th. Additionally, $5.00 beer buckets are available in Bar Louie on July 3rd, with $2.00 draft beers flowing on the 4th. Hungry? Fill up with some pre-fireworks all-you-can-eat pasta in Rustic Kitchen the night of the 3rd.
