It’s not every band that’s still staking out new musical territory and embracing fresh challenges more than 25 years into their career, but that’s the case with Blues Traveler. Having long ago graduated from the jam-band underground to mainstream stardom, the iconoclastic combo has consistently stuck to its guns and played by its own rules. Blues Traveler’s trademark sound was electrifying fans around the world, to the tune of approximately 30 million people and upwards of 6,000 live shows over the band’s 25 year history. Beyond the commercial success of their recordings, which have sold in excess of 13 million combined units worldwide, Blues Traveler has long been known for the creative use of segues, multiple song mash-ups and extensive instrumental jams in their live performances. With their upcoming album Blow Up The Moon, John Popper and the band are back with new material and old favorites, continuing to make their mark on Pop music.
