Performance is open to guests of all ages
WILKES-BARRE, PA (February 26, 2025) – Mohegan Pennsylvania is proud to host the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic as they present Simply the Best: A Tribute to Tina Turner on Saturday, June 7th. Under the baton of Maestra Mélisse Brunet and Scott Coulter’s Spot On Entertainment, this iconic performance honoring one of music’s most legendary superstars starts at 7:30pm in the Keystone Grand Ballroom.
“We’re delighted to welcome NEPA Philharmonic back to Mohegan Pennsylvania for the first time since 2016,” said Tony Carlucci, President & General Manager at Mohegan Pennsylvania. “This partnership is a great match. Their mission statement for this concert season references building bridges, which we can relate to because we’re also dedicated to building bridges with our local community. Our guests are in for a treat as this trio of incredible talent will perform some of the greatest hits in music history.”
Tickets to Simply the Best: A Tribute to Tina Turner are on sale now via the NEPA Philharmonic website or the Philharmonic Ticket Hotline at 570.270.4444. Will Call, located at the entrance of the Convention Center, opens at 6:00pm and the pre-function space (including a cash bar) opens at 6:30pm. Doors to the Keystone Grand Ballroom open at 7:00pm.
Performed by a trio of singers, including two-time Grammy Award-winning vocalist Tamika Lawrence and Broadway’s Shaleah Adkisson, Simply the Best celebrates the stories and songs that made Tina Turner one of the greatest performers the world has ever known. Guests will get the chance to rock out to classics like “Proud Mary”, “River Deep – Mountain High”, “Private Dancer”, “Better Be Good to Me” and more, including the number one hit, “What’s Love Got to Do With It”.
The Philharmonic Pops series is sponsored by the PNC Foundation in collaboration with Dr. Seth W. And Carolyn Fisher. Additional sponsors include Munley Law and Pat Atkins & Family.
This is an all-ages show, however, most areas of Mohegan Pennsylvania are 21+ including the hotel, casino floor and most restaurants. All guests under 21 must be accompanied by an adult, enter via the hotel and convention center entrance and proceed directly to the Keystone Grand Ballroom.

Eclectic festival featuring live entertainment and cultural experiences takes over the Keystone Grand Ballroom
on Saturday, April 5th
WILKES-BARRE, PA (February 25, 2025) – It’s Polka Time! After resounding success over the past two years, the 2025 Pennsylvania Polkafest, sponsored by Mrs. T’s Pierogies and The Times Leader, makes its debut in the Keystone Grand Ballroom on Saturday, April 5th. This event promises to be an evening of vibrant music, energetic dancing, unforgettable performances and generational memories. Doors open at 3:30pm and the party starts at 4:00pm. WILKES-BARRE (October 17, 2024) – The Crafty Stir has officially opened at Mohegan Pennsylvania! Conveniently located adjacent to the food court (in the former Electric City Roasting Company space), The Crafty Stir is the perfect place for a pick-me-up. Guests can kick off their day with a rich selection of beverages including 100% Colombian coffee, espresso drinks, tea, Chai, hot chocolate and cold brew/nitro. Hot breakfast options include an assortment of sandwiches and bagels. Those who prefer to start their day on a sweet note can choose from fresh pastries like muffins, cinnamon buns, cannoli and more. Anyone who is on the run can also take advantage of delicious grab-n-go hoagies, salads, drinks and other treats! The Crafty Stir is celebrating the holiday season with four special creations. The Frosted Gingerbread Latte, the Eggnog Latte, the Marshmallow Mint Coffee and the Jingle Spiced Chai will be available starting Sunday, December 1st.
The Crafty Stir’s hours of operation are Sunday – Thursday 6:30am – 11:00pm, and Friday & Saturday 6:30am – 1:00am.

WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 17, 2024) – On Thursday, September 12th, Mohegan Pennsylvania (MPA) presented a $10,000 donation check to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, a no-kill animal shelter based in Dallas, PA. The organization often takes in animals that are sick, injured or surrendered by their owners. This check presentation took place right before Back in Black, a tribute to AC/DC, rocked the stage at Party on the Patio.
“At Mohegan Pennsylvania, we’re always dedicated to finding ways to give back to the community,” said David Parfrey, vice president of marketing at Mohegan Pennsylvania. “We’re honored to provide this donation to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, and we’re also thankful to the guests who donated to this important cause.”
“Blue Chip would like to thank Mohegan Pennsylvania for this amazing donation to the shelter,” said Cordie Braun, fundraising director at Blue Chip Animal Farm Refuge. “There aren’t enough words to express how much this will help with the medical care of the animals!”
Medical bills for Blue Chip Animal Refuge can reach up to $350,000 – $450,000 a year. The donation check that was presented to the organization derived from $5,000 in slot voucher and cash donations from guests and a matched donation from MPA. This is the third year of the donation program at MPA, with prior donations going to St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen in Wilkes-Barre, PA and Ronald McDonald House of Scranton, PA.
