Spooky Halloween party set to take over The Hive Taphouse and Embers Terrace on Thursday, October 31st
WILKES-BARRE, PA (October 1, 2024) – Guests looking for Halloween plans can look no further than joining Mohegan Pennsylvania for Haunt at the Hive. On Thursday, October 31st at 8:00pm, The Hive Taphouse and Embers Terrace will be transformed into the best Halloween Party in Northeast Pennsylvania, featuring food & beverage specials, live entertainment and a spooky good time.
All are welcome to dress in their best Halloween costume, and those who dare to be bold are encouraged to enter in the costume contest. There are three categories – “Scariest,” “Most Original” and “Couple or Group” – and the first-place winner in each category will win a $250 Mohegan Pennsylvania gift card! Costume photos will be taken upon registration, and winners will be announced at 11:00pm.
From 8:00pm – 11:30pm, The Hive Taphouse and Embers Terrace will feature can’t-miss live entertainment. Over at The Hive Taphouse, Hoopla Band Lite will perform the best selection of music that promises to keep the good times rolling. The River 105 and 103.5’s DJ Tommy will be providing guests with an electric atmosphere over at Embers Terrace.
All guests must be 21 or older with valid ID to attend Haunt at the Hive. Costumes are not required; masks and full-face paint are only allowed in the event spaces.

WILKES-BARRE, PA (August 22, 2024) – The Hive Taphouse, located at Mohegan Pennsylvania, has introduced a revamped brunch option every Sunday from 9:00am – Noon. The Champagne Brunch Buffet features fresh made-to-order eggs and omelets, a sweet assortment of pastries and muffins, soups and salads, a rotating selection of mouth-watering chicken, and beef and seafood dishes. Additionally, this new option includes a mimosa or glass of champagne with $5 refills for all guests 21 years of age or older.
“We’re excited to have The Hive Taphouse offer this new and improved buffet option to our guests,” said David Parfrey, VP of Marketing at Mohegan Pennsylvania. “We felt like we were missing that convenient, go-to Sunday morning option, and the Champagne Brunch creates the unique opportunity for guests of all ages to enjoy a delectable menu that is sure to satisfy every craving.”
The Champagne Brunch at The Hive Taphouse is $24.99 for guests ages 12 and up, $9.99 for guests ages 4-12 and free for guests ages 3 and under. Additionally, Mohegan Pennsylvania is excited to offer a Sunday Brunch Hotel Package which includes overnight accommodations, brunch for two at the Sunday Champagne Brunch Buffet in The Hive Taphouse, and a guaranteed 1:00pm late checkout.

Guests can select a breakfast entrée and pair it with an array of seasonal pastries, pasta, salad, soup, fruit and chef’s features from the brunch bar for $19.99 per person. Brunch and Brew at The Hive Taphouse is available every Sunday from 11:00am – 2:00pm.
Brunch and Brew at The Hive Taphouse offers a wide range of breakfast entrées for guests to choose from. Those in the mood for french toast can enjoy three slices of Texas Toast in house-made egg batter served with butter, maple syrup and a choice of bacon or sausage. Guests looking for some Mexican flair can indulge in Morning Tacos, consisting of three soft tacos filled with scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and cheddar jack cheese with salsa and sour cream on the side; or a breakfast quesadilla featuring scrambled eggs, roasted onions and peppers, cheddar jack cheese and pico de gallo on a grilled tortilla with salsa and sour cream on the side. Chicken & Biscuit fans are in luck, as Brunch and Brew at The Hive Taphouse is serving up a version that includes breaded fried chicken with a sunny side up egg on a buttermilk biscuit, topped with creamy pepper gravy. It’s a swell time to spread some holiday cheer in a winter wonderland while sipping on specialty cocktails and seasonal beers, dining on a savory new themed menu that even the big man himself would approve of and dancin’ and prancin’ to favorite local bands as they perform holiday classics along with their own crowd pleasers. Additionally, guests can mix and a-mingle with Christmas movie trivia nights, holiday karaoke and an ugly sweater contest! Jingle at the Hive Taphouse is a holiday pop-up bar that promises to bring the ultimate holiday experience to Northeast Pennsylvania. Jingle at the Hive Taphouse is open from Noon – 11:00pm on Sundays – Thursdays and Noon – 1:00am on Fridays & Saturdays.

Giddy-up! On Saturday, December 2nd from 4:00pm – 7:00pm, guests are invited to don their favorite holiday attire and runs as many laps as desired in one hour at the Wyoming Valley Run Santa Dash. Starting at 4:00pm, guests can register for free with an unwrapped toy. Between 4:30pm – 5:30pm, the Fun Run will take place on the race track. Guests are invited to head to Jingle at the Hive Taphouse between 5:00pm – 7:00pm for drink specials, including $10.00 Miller Lite pitchers, benefiting the Greater Pittston Santa Squad in addition to a holiday costume contest!
Additional holiday happenings at Jingle at the Hive Taphouse include DJ Tommy hosting Christmas Movie/Cartoon Trivia on Thursday, December 7th at 7:00pm, Christmas Music Trivia on December 14th at 7:00pm and Holiday Karaoke on Thursday, December 21st at 8:00pm. Guests are also invited to wear their festive best for an Ugly Sweater Contest on Friday, December 22nd from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Brian Westbrook started his football journey as a Division 1-AA college running back in 1997. After graduating from college, Philadelphia’s professional football team drafted Westbrook in the third round of the 2002 Draft. In 2007, Westbrook led the league in total yards from scrimmage with a total of 2,104. In 2010, he ended his career in Philadelphia and signed with San Francisco’s professional football team until 2012, when Westbrook retired from professional football as a member of Philadelphia’s professional football team. During his nine year professional football career, Westbrook accumulated 6,335 rushing yards, 41 rushing touchdowns, 442 receptions, 3,941 receiving yards and 30 receiving touchdowns.
