New Year’s Eve festivities include the Mad Dinner and Tea Party, a Glo Party at Embers Terrace, live entertainment, food & beverage specials and the chance to win up to $10,000 in cash
WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 20, 2024) – Endless Midnight is making a return to Mohegan Pennsylvania (MPA) which means guests are once again invited to celebrate the end of the year and start of the new year in style. From Friday, December 27th – Wednesday, January 1st, Mohegan Pennsylvania will host the biggest party of the year featuring show-stopping celebrations, dazzling ways to win, food & beverage specials, and electrifying entertainment.
Endless Midnight Events & Entertainment
On Tuesday, December 31st, guests can experience a New Year’s Eve party like no other during the Mad Dinner and Tea Party in the Keystone Grand Ballroom. Tickets to the Mad Dinner and Tea Party, which can be purchased at the hotel front desk, are $125 and include delicious cuisine, beverages, electrifying entertainment by Flaxy Morgan, and party favors. Seating times for dinner are 5:00pm and 9:00pm. A hotel package is also available which includes an overnight stay at MPA and two tickets to the Mad Dinner and Tea Party. A special hotel package is also available which includes the above benefits along with Champagne Brunch for two at The Hive Taphouse on New Year’s Day.
Breakers is set to end 2024 with can’t-miss entertainment. On Friday, December 27th, Electric City Music Conference award-winning band, Down by 5, takes the stage from 8:30pm – 12:30am. NEPA based cover band that has been rocking the region for the past 29 years, Flaxy Morgan, takes the stage on Saturday, December 28th from 8:30pm – 12:30am. On Sunday, December 29th from 9:30pm – 12:30am, Hoopla Band Lite will perform the best selection of music that promises to keep the good times rolling. Light up the Moon is ready to light up the stage on New Year’s Eve from 8:30pm – 12:30am. This band puts on a show like no other, with a dynamic stage presence and infectious energy that gets the entire audience engaged. Guests can also enjoy half-priced draft beer at Breakers on December 27th and December 28th from 6:30pm – 8:00pm.
Over at The Hive Taphouse, the premier band for live entertainment, Bad Liars, is set to kick off New Year’s Eve weekend with a performance from 9:30pm – 12:30am. Saturday night’s stage belongs to Chasing Ashlee Duo from 9:30pm – 12:30pm where they’ll be preforming the best in Rock from the 70s to now. On Sunday night from 9:30pm – 12:30am, Until Sunrise will be providing guests with the best party and dance music the 80’s has to offer. On New Year’s Eve, guests can try one of The Hive Taphouse’s featured cocktails Down the Rabbit Hole, Mad as a Hatter, and Looking Glass while jamming out to The Fuchery from 8:30pm – 12:30am. On New Year’s Day, guests can head to The Hive Taphouse from 9:00am – Noon to experience the Champagne Brunch for $39.99 which includes an omelet station and carved prime rib.
Embers Terrace will be hosting a Wonderland Glo Party on New Year’s Eve from 8:00pm – 1:00am where guests can join in on an unforgettable evening filled with shimmering lights and vibrant energy. Throughout the night, guests can sip on handcrafted cocktails and dance to the rhythm of DJ Drew Heaven.
WiseCrackers Comedy Club is ending 2024 on a hilarious note with two shows at 7:00pm and 10:00pm, headlined by Jon Fisch. Guests may recognize Jon from his appearances on both The Late Show with David Letterman and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Additionally, Jon has been on Comedy Central and NBC’s Last Comic Standing 4 where he was the New York City Capital One Audience Favorite. Jon has performed at multiple comedy festivals including the HBO Comedy Arts Festival, the Great American Comedy Festival and Montreal’s prestigious “Just for Laughs” Festival. Tickets to the 7:00pm show are $25 and tickets to the 10:00pm show are $30. Ticket price for the 10:00pm show includes party favors and a champagne toast.

Drink specials at Pearl Sushi Bar include half-priced martinis from 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Friday, December 27th and $6.00 sake-tinis from 5:00pm – 9:00pm on Saturday, December 30th. Pearl Sushi Bar will be open for special holiday hours on Tuesday, December 31st from 4:00pm – 11:00pm.
Guests can let Rustic Kitchen do the cooking while enjoying all-inclusive cooking shows! The menu on Friday, December 27th and Saturday, December 28th includes a classic French onion soup, and Beef Wellington, filled with mushroom duxelles and prosciutto, served with fingerling potatoes, sauteed spinach and presented with a port wine reduction. Dessert is a chocolate pecan pie with a red wine pairing. On December 30th and December 31st, dinner starts with jumbo lump crab stuffed shrimp with a lemon beuree blanc. The main course is peppercorn-crusted filet mignon served with a butter poached lobster tail. Dessert is strawberry champagne cake, plus guests can enjoy Los Señores Cabernet Sauvignon and a special champagne toast! Reservations are required to attend cooking shows at Rustic Kitchen.

Mohegan Pennsylvania’s Hot Summer Fun Kick-Off marks the start of the season with an epic beach ball drop and electrifying performance by Almost Queen: A Tribute to Queen and on Friday, June 28th. Hot Summer Fun begins with a summer kick-off event featuring Ostrich and Camel races and live harness racing. Mohegan Pennsylvania’s Summer Kickoff marks the start of the season with camel and ostrich races on July 1st. Live harness racing serves as the star of the show, where Mohegan PA’s horse racing action gets a unique twist. Between races, ostriches and camels with drivers will make a mad dash to the finish line! This family-friendly event starts at 12:30pm with the FBS Initiative presenting the colors during the National Anthem. Guests can also enjoy face painting, balloon art, Jitty Joe’s Ice Cream Truck and more! Local charity Marley’s Mission and veteran service organizations Amvets and PA Wounded Warriors will be on hand to provide support to guests of all ages.

Free Shirt Fridays
Each Friday morning throughout Hot Summer Fun, Mohegan Sun Pocono will be giving away free t-shirts for the first 500 Momentum members. Beginning July 6th, shirts will be distributed on the Sky Bridge, starting at 9:00am. A different color shirt will be given each week. Collect all 9 during Hot Summer Fun!

This summer, Mohegan Sun Pocono has your concert hookup with great live performances in the Keystone Grand Ballroom. The Chippendales bring ‘the About Last Night…2018 World Tour’ on Friday, July 27th with two performances at 8:00pm and 11:00pm; ticket prices starting at $29.00. Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone perform live on Friday, August 17th at 7:30pm; tickets starting at $34.50. Country star, Lee Ann Womack, performs her hits live on the ‘All the Trouble Tour’ in Wilkes – Barre on Saturday, August 18th at 8:00pm; tickets starting at $39.00. The foodies come together to wrap up the summer at The Food Truck Festival, taking place at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono on Sunday, September 2nd from Noon to 7:00pm with free admission. Enjoy a fun afternoon packed with good eats, awesome drink specials and live music. Stick around for some live harness racing action starting at 7:00pm.
