Towards the end of his term as Chairman, Bozsum went undercover at the gaming, hotel and entertainment destinations as he prepared to pass the business on to the next Chairman of the Mohegan Tribal Council. In the episode, Bozsum learns the high-stakes role of slot attending and nearly runs out of gas as he retrieves cars from the valet.

November 30th set as the first occupancy date for new seven-story hotel
WILKES-BARRE, PA – Mohegan Sun At Pocono Do
wns, one of the largest and most distinctive entertainment, gaming, shopping and dining destinations in Pennsylvania, has started taking reservations today for their new seven-story, 238-room hotel.
Guests are now able to make hotel reservations and plan their trips to Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs beginning November 30, 2013 and beyond. Reservations can be made online at mohegansunpocono.com or by phone by calling 1.888.WIN.IN.PA.
“We’re really excited to be able to invite our guests, who have long made Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs their daytrip destination, to enjoy the property in a whole new light,” said Mike Bean, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
“The addition of the new hotel positions Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs to become the region’s premier overnight destination,” added Bean.
The new, seven story, 238-room hotel includes 126 king and 92 double queen standard guest rooms as well as 20 suites. The hotel features rooms with exclusive views of the Race Track, as well as a fitness center, in-room iPad directories, free Wi-Fi, room service, indoor heated swimming pool, the full service Spa Sapphire, a Bistro serving breakfast and light fare and more.
The hotel is a part of Project Sunlight, an expansion project that also includes an adjacent 20,000 square-foot Convention Center which will cater to business travelers for any number of special events, meetings, concerts and more. With dividable space, the new Convention Center at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs will be able to accommodate a number of different sized groups up to 800 for seated banquets. The space can even be converted into a concert venue, holding up 1,500 seats.

WILKES-BARRE, PA (January 8, 2013) – Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is pleased to announce the promotion of Kara Fox-Larose to Assistant General Manager and Jeff George to the position of Vice President of Hotel and Food & Beverage.
Fox-Larose has been with the Mohegan Sun organization for 18 years, serving most recently as the Vice President of Marketing at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs where she was responsible for a number of departments including Bus Sales, Regional Marketing, Player’s Club, Promotions and Special Events. Prior to her arrival in Pennsylvania, Fox-Larose served as Vice President of Marketing and Promotions at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. In her new role, Fox-Larose will be responsible for all non-gaming operations.
Additionally, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeff George to Vice President of Hotel and Food & Beverage. George has been with the company since 2008 serving as Director of Food & Beverage and overseeing the successful opening of Project Sunrise. Agreement Allows Casino to Gear Up for Regulated Online Gaming
Uncasville, CT – Mohegan Sun and Mohegan Sun Pocono Downs are pleased to announce an agreement with Las Vegas-based Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI), to provide customers with its iGaming platform. This technology will allow customers to enjoy the thrill of online poker play without wagering money. The play-for-free model will be available beginning in early 2013 at www.mohegansun.com and www.poconodowns.com. Mohegan Sun is the only gaming destination on the East Coast to offer Bally’s iGaming technology.
The agreement comes after an extensive six-month review process to determine the best vendor and technology. “We’re thrilled to continue our successful partnership with Bally Technologies,” said Mitchell Etess, Chief Executive Officer for the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority. “Our goal is always to provide our guests with the best gaming and entertainment offerings and we believe iGaming is the next step in fulfilling the demand for regulated online play when customers aren’t able to be on property.
