Jerseylicious Still Spotless in 2013 with Weiss Win at Pocono

Jerseylicious won for the seventh straight time in 2013, conquering a group of three-year-old fillies in a division of the Bobby Weiss Series at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on Tuesday night. The race carried a purse of $15,000.
Jesreylicious (Western Ideal-Jet Lag N), trained by Wayne Givens and driven by Corey Callahan, dominated her division on the front end for the victory in 1:52 and is poised to be a heavy favorite in next week’s Weiss final for the 3-year-old pacing fillies. Art Ideal finished 2nd and My Sweet Mandy picked up the show.
In the night’s other Weiss division, American In Paris (American Ideal-Sendingforth), with Matt Kakaley in the bike for Ron Burke, went gate to wire for a victory in 1:52:3. O Narutac Rockette was 2nd and Ideal Ginny 3rd

Shebestingin Still Unbeaten After Weiss Win at Pocono

Shebestingin now has five wins in five starts in her career after a victory in a division of the Bobby Weiss Series for 3-year-old pacing fillies on Tuesday night at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. The race carried a purse of $15,000.
Shebestingin (Bettor’s Delight-Armbro Tussle), won her split in 1:53:4 by controlling matters on the front end. Jim Morrill Jr. did the driving for trainer Joe Holloway. American In Paris finished a length back in second while Ideal Ginny picked up the show.
In the night’s other Weiss division, Live Entertainment (Real Artist-West Side Glory) made her first start of the year a winning one in 1:52:3. Jimmy Takter trains the filly and son Jimmy Jr. did the driving. Coffee Addict finished second in that split and Gramercy Hanover got the show.

Budding 3-year-old filly star Jerseylicious continued her unbeaten string to start the season by winning a division of the Bobby Weiss Series at Pocono. There were three divisions held on Tuesday night at Pocono for 3-year-old fillies, with each carrying a purse of $15,000.
With Corey Callahan in the bike for trainer Wayne Givens, Jerseylicious (Western Ideal-Jet Laag N) led every step of the way in her heat for a five-length win in 1:54:4. The filly had previously won four straight at Dover Downs to start her 2013 campaign.
The other two Weiss divisions were captured by Ideal Ginny (Western Ideal-Armbro Nectarine), who was driven by Marcus Miller for trainer Erv Miller, in 1:53:2, and O Narutac Rockette (Rocknroll Hanover-Cam For Life), driven by Corey Callahan for trainer Dylan Davis, in 1:53:1.
