WILKES-BARRE, PA (December 27, 2018) – Molly O’Sheas’ first anniversary at Mohegan Sun Poconois filled cash prizes, live music, a Reuben challenge and more! Guests will have the chance to celebrate with Molly O’Sheas throughout the month of January.
For starters – $1,000.00 in cash is up for grabs for a lucky guest. All guests have to do is purchase a minimum of $10.00 from Molly O’Sheas food & drink menu between January 1st and 27th. The receipt that is given to guests after this purchase will have information on how to enter the contest. The drawing is January 27th at 6:00pm, and if the first place winner is present at the drawing their cash prize increases to $2,500! Other prizes include memorabilia packages, dinner for a year and a Molly O’Sheas t-shirt.
Molly O’Sheas is hosting an Irish Whiskey Parings Event on Thursday, January 24th from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Guests will enjoy five delicious high-end whiskey and appetizer pairings, along with flatbreads, various cheeses, carved Italian meats and grilled vegetables. Live music by Dustin Douglas starts at 9:00pm. Tickets are $39.00 and available for purchase at Molly O’Sheas.
Guests can put their appetite to the test with Molly’s Monster Reuben Challenge on Friday, January 25th. Contestants will attempt to eat a 4lb Reuben (valued at $29.99). Those who finish the Reuben get it for free, along with a free Molly O’Sheas t-shirt. Aside from the challenge, $3.00 Guinness Drafts will be served from 7:00pm – Midnight. Guests have the opportunity to receive a complimentary Guinness glass engraved with a name from 9:00pm – 11:00pm while supplies last. Acoustic karaoke hosted by Jon Hollywood starts at 9:00pm.
On Saturday January 26th, enjoy Jameson “5 Ways for $5 Special” all day long. This special features five Jameson-based shots: Chilled & Straight, Jameson Grand Slam Shot, Jameson & Ginger, Jameson on the Rocks, and The Pickle Back. Meet the Jameson Girls from 9:00pm – 11:00pm and sing with the Karaoke DJ from 9:00pm – Midnight.
Free anniversary cupcakes will be served all day with the purchase of an entrée on Sunday, January 27th.

Wilkes-Barre, PA– Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs will open its new Elixir Bistro Bar on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Located in the hotel lobby, Elixir Bistro Bar will offer guests Starbucks® Coffee, grab-and-go breakfast items, fresh salads, sandwiches and pizza. Elixir Bistro Bar is owned and operated by Metz Culinary Management, which also operates Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Wolfgang Puck Express within the casino.
