WILKES-BARRE, PA (August 23, 2023) – On Saturday, October 7th and Sunday, October 8th, the Keystone Grand Ballroom at Mohegan Pennsylvania will host the popular special event, A Golden Girls Mystery: The Halloween Caper. This spine-chilling event allows the audience to become a part of the action during a 90-minute murder mystery. Guests will be playing detective and tasked with following clues, interrogating suspects and more. The show on October 7th starts at 8:00pm and the show on October 8th starts at 2:00pm, with doors opening 30 minutes before the start of each show. Tickets are on-sale now for $35.00, and available online through Without A Cue Productions. Tickets will not be available for purchase at Mohegan Pennsylvania.
The Golden Girls are at it again! Miami’s Fab Four are planning their annual Halloween Shindig, and the goblins and ghouls have all come out to play. As Rose dresses the room in traditional St. Olaf Halloween decorations and Blanche dons her cat ears, Dorothy eagerly anticipates a surprise guest…but the surprise might be on her when things don’t work out the way she hoped and Sophia shows us her Psycho side. In the end, all we can say is…thank you for being a fiend!
There will be several opportunities to take selfies with the characters (and a fun race to see who can get them all first), hidden clues, and even an opportunity to get a mugshot taken. Once the performance begins, guests will become part of the action as they play detective and try to solve the mystery.

A Golden Girls Mystery: The Halloween Caper is an event recommended for guests ages 13 and up. Please note, most areas of Mohegan Pennsylvania, including the hotel, are restricted to ages 21 years and older. Mohegan Pennsylvania is ready to turn up the heat for a
thrilling Hot Summer Fun season! From July 1st through September 1st, Momentum members can enjoy giveaways with chances to win more than $2 million in cash prizes, Free Slot Play, brand-new summer toys and more. Hot Summer Fun begins with a summer kick-off event featuring Ostrich and Camel races and live harness racing. Don’t miss weekly tribute bands at the popular outdoor concert series Party on the Patio, and the FUNTASTIC 2023 Tour featuring Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo.
Mohegan Pennsylvania’s Summer Kickoff marks the start of the season with camel and ostrich races on July 1st. Live harness racing serves as the star of the show, where Mohegan PA’s horse racing action gets a unique twist. Between races, ostriches and camels with drivers will make a mad dash to the finish line! This family-friendly event starts at 12:30pm with the FBS Initiative presenting the colors during the National Anthem. Guests can also enjoy face painting, balloon art, Jitty Joe’s Ice Cream Truck and more! Local charity Marley’s Mission and veteran service organizations Amvets and PA Wounded Warriors will be on hand to provide support to guests of all ages.
Also kicking off on July 1st is Mohegan Pennsylvania’s “Toys Of Summer Giveaway.” Momentum members can earn entries all month long to win their choice of a Polaris Slingshot, Kawasaki Teryx, or an Aprilia RSV4 from North American Warhorse. The drawing will take place on July 29th with over 100 winners, but only one lucky Momentum member will drive away with their new summer toy!
In August, Momentum members can earn entries for the “$75,000 Aloha August Giveaway.” Drawings will take place as Hot Summer Fun wraps up on September 1st. One lucky winner will receive $25,000 Cash!
HOT SUMMER FUN DAYS OF THE WEEK
Momentum members can win big or score some sweet deals every day of the week during Hot Summer Fun!
Every Sunday starting July 2nd through August 20th, Momentum members who earn at least three Status Points will be able to participate in a slot tournament. On Sunday, August 27th Mohegan Pennsylvania will host the “Move-In Day Giveaway” where the first 1,000 Momentum members to earn one Status Point will receive their choice of back-to-school essentials.
Mondays bring the element of surprise to Hot Summer Fun. Each Monday there will be a different promotion, including a Toys of Summer entry multiplier, a Status Point Multiplier, Free Slot Play giveaways and more. All Momentum members who play their favorite slot machine or table game are eligible!
The first 500 Momentum members to earn one Status Point on Tuesdays will receive a commemorative Hot Summer Fun 2023 t-shirt. A new design is featured each of the nine weeks – visit each week to collect all nine! T-shirt recipients will receive $20 Free Slot Play when they return to Mohegan Pennsylvania on the following Thursday. These exciting new offerings are a part of collective enhancements planned for MSP, billed as Project Starlight. A $10 million hotel renovation is also underway
WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 6, 2022) – Mohegan Sun Pocono (MSP) guests are in for a treat as 2022 heats up. Three exciting new venues will officially debut, starting in late April with the all-new outdoor terrace bar, Embers Terrace. This new offering will be home to Adirondack style seating, fire pits, live weekend entertainment, dining options, an outstanding drink menu and more. Set to launch this summer in the old Bar Louie space will also be The Hive Taphouse, equipped with a full dining menu, 20 beers on tap, a live music stage and its very own Topgolf Swing Suites, equipped with Full Swing Simulators that in addition to virtual golf courses and Topgolf games, will also be home to energetic games like Zombie Dodgeball, the Quarterback Challenge, Baseball Pitching, Hockey games and more.
“These capital improvements as part of Project Starlight represent some of the most thrilling enhancements that we have ever announced at MSP.” -said Anthony Carlucci, President & General Manager of Mohegan Sun Pocono. “These offerings will not only bolster our live entertainment, but they also bring a relaxing and fun-filled outdoor experience as well as an amazing Topgolf Swing Suite venue. Located near Rustic Kitchen Bistro & Bar, Embers Terrace will be the first new amenity to open. Featuring a 25-person bar, a partially covered dining area with a late fare menu launching in June, hand-built fire pits, acoustic entertainment and a lawn area where various activities will take place, this new outdoor terrace bar andterrace will serve as a hot spot for all types of outings during the warmer seasons. The weekends are set to feature acoustic duos and with that, VIP booking opportunities will be possible. The drink menu will also offer some of the best wine in the region, as well as a range of mixed drinks and local, domestic and imported beers.
Slated to launch in early summer, The Hive Taphouse will have 20 beers on tap, the most at MSP, serving the likes of IPAs, Porter, Stouts, Cider, Ale, Lager, Pilsner, Witbier, Hefeweizen, and rotating seasonal offerings. Home to a live music stage, this new venue will roll out a can’t-miss entertainment calendar featuring some of the top musical acts across the region. More than 12 high-definition TV screens will also fill up The Hive Taphouse, playing all the major sporting events. A full dining menu will feature a wide variety of dishes like Appetizers, Flatbreads, Salads, Wings, Burgers, Sandwiches, Tacos and Mac N Cheese. Located near the main bar inside The Hive Taphouse will be the Topgolf Swing Suites with two Full Swing simulators, where people of all ages and skill levels can come together for playful competition. Guests can play either 9 or 18 holes across more than 80 famous courses, including Pebble Beach and Bethpage Black. The Mohegan Sun Pocono Hotel, opened in 2014, will also undergo a major revamp.
