NEPA Alliance Regional Leadership Award Presented To Mohegan Sun Pocono

WILKES-BARRE, PA (October 15, 2015) – On Thursday, October 1st, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance (NEPA) named Mohegan Sun Pocono the winner of the 2015 NEPA Alliance Regional Leadership Award at its annual dinner. Mohegan Sun Pocono President Mike Bean was on hand to accept the award with more than 325 local business and community leaders in attendance.
Jeffrey Box, President & CEO of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance stated, “The NEPA Alliance Regional Leadership Award is presented annually to an agency, group or individual demonstrating a significant contribution to regional growth, development or cooperation within the seven county NEPA region.” Mr. Box noted that the award began in 2003. Box added, “The 2015 NEPA Alliance Regional Leadership Award recipient was Mohegan Sun Pocono for their positive impact on the regional economy and dedicated involvement in the Northeastern Pennsylvania community.”
“Mohegan Sun Pocono is proud to be part of the Northeastern Pennsylvania region, and is honored to have been selected as winner of the 2015 NEPA Alliance Regional Leadership Award,” said Bean. He continued, “We believe the region has a bright future, as we continue to build on all of the hard work and success of so many people who have worked tirelessly to create positive economic impact and make the community a better place for all.”
The NEPA Alliance Regional Leadership Award is dedicated in memory of John J. Luciani, former NEPA Board Chairperson. It represents dedication to the people of the Northeastern Pennsylvania region, passion for economic growth and hard work that formed the foundation and advancement of NEPA. Past recipients include Anna Cervenak of NEPA Alliance; Robert G. Bee of WBRE-TV and Pahomepage.com; Colonel Gerhard P.R. Schröter, former commander of Tobyhanna Army Depot and United Neighborhood Centers of Scranton.
