Brian Sears, driving Break The Bank K, sat back and watched the upfront battle unfold between race favorites Lucky Chucky (John Campbell) and Muscle Massive (Ron Pierce) before guiding his three-year-old Revenue S colt trotter to a world record time of 1:52.2 over a five-eighths mile track. The great Mack Lobell had previously owned this world mark.
Trained by Trond Smedshammer, Break The Bank K won for the fourth time in 15 starts this year.
Lucky Chucky was challenged by Muscle Massive to the quarter pole, clicked off in 27.1 and half in :55 before the latter went off stride. Break The Bank was first over and cleared Lucky Chucky with the three-quarters clicked off in 1:23.
